Re: Starting Lineups for East in 2008? Offense and Defense!
I feel that the starting lineups on both sides of the ball possibly going like so: Tartan Offense Center: Adam Jones Guards: Josh Dempsey & Jacob Howard Tackles: Kody Wright & Dominque Stringer {These 2 players need to step-up and fill-in big this year!} {They both done a fine job last year ...

Starting Lineups for East in 2008? Offense and Defense!
How do you see the starting lineups for the returning Champship Team of the "East Tartans" in the 2008 season? Offense and Defense!

Re: High School Team Websites
I would have to say that Mechanicsburg has one of the best websites that I have ever seen! I could not believe the tremendous amount of information that they had on their site; I discovered this last year when we were preparing for them in the playoffs.

Re: East football 2008
Now to football. The Tartans are loaded with great kids and talent. Rollins moving in just made a deep backfield deeper. Ehrhardt should help somewhere. There are several possibilities for quarterback. Who gets it will depend on what the new coach wants to do offensively. Sean Wright told me a few ...

Re: East football 2008
RogueWarrior1965 This is a shame. To lose a dedicated coach with 5 SOC championships, including being the first East team to win back to back SOCs, is a slap in the face to the kids and the community. To see where East has come since Darryl's return (not to mention the other successes throughout hi...

Re: Which Team Will Win The SOC 1 this year?
First of all; No one has said that Coach Davis wasn't coaching next year but, Coach Davis! Second... He hasn't said this to any school officials that I know of; but, maybe he did and they are not releasing it yet. I do know that Coach Davis has one more year until his retirement. Anyway. I would thi...

Re: Which Team Will Win The SOC 1 this year?
Oak Hill could be a challenger to the Sciotoville East Tartans in 2008! They was the only team on the regular season schedule that managed to ever get a lead on the Tartans. Although, it was only for 1:38 seconds! And of course, the defense of the Tartans and the powerful running attack took control...

Re: Which Team Will Win The SOC 1 this year?
Not to take anything away from the kids; I have one on the team! Alot also depends on who the OC will be next year! Coach Bond was the OC last year. Had a productive offense last year; over 3,700+ yards rushing! That chews up a lot of ticks on the clock!
I will always pick EAST!

Re: Why hasnt Shawnee State started football?
I think the main reason for not starting a football team is that you are only allowed so many scholarships at certain levels in college sports. And, I beleive they are afraid that if the other sports had to compete for scholarships that it would drain those sports from getting the recruits that they...

Re: KCU Committs (local players)
and now he has a chance to do that, Shane isnt in his way...... 'again" What is that suppose to mean? Throwing that kind of remark out there about a kid! From the look of their roster they are not just getting kids from this area. But they are also getting transfers from Morehead and I believe...

Re: New Boston Tigers thinking of starting Football again?
The last year that the New Boston Tigers had a full season of football was 1979! I was a freshman in 1980 and we started two-a-days and we was scheduled to go for a scrimmage and only 10 players showed up. I remember sitting on the bus and Coach Gagaie (sounds like gay guy when you pronounce it) pul...

Re: Old fashion football
This is a little off the subject but a funny story concerning the "Double Wing" that we run at East last year! We was on the field warming up before the game (Matewan) going thru various drills and several of the East coaches was huddled on the field watching our team going thru passing dr...

Re: NW TO SOC 1?
I think South Gallia is a perfect fit for the SOC 1.....I wish this would happen for the kids!!!! I agree with you 100% ! This would be a great fit for the SOC I. I just hope they get a better football facility! There was literally horse manure on the field before the game. My understanding is that...
