I miss the good old days of the SVAC.I remember some very intense rivalry's in athletics over the years in the SVAC.The bobcats,wildcats,highlanders,pirates,vikings,tornadoes,eagles and oaks.They all even had cool mascots. sad day when gallia county schools consolidated,alot of history.

Can West compete year in and year out?Absolutely,look for the kids to just keep improving under the current coaching staff.Coach T. will have kids coming out of the wood works to play for him.I had no doubt last season that West would compete,only going to get better.

Seems to be doing a fine job at Meigs.

If Stoops loses to Florida will he become the coach unable to win the big one? 1-2 in title games and last two BCS games lost to Boise and got dominated by WVU.Not taking anything away from Stoops,excellent coach but could obtain that label.

If you know the FSU speed program,why not use it?Unless of course you win every meet.Anyway S.G. football will improve as long as the kids continue to work hard and listen to their coaches.

Do the players not lift during track and basketball at S.G.?They do run off muscle but also build speed and agility.Which also doesn't hurt.

Getting the playing time that the young players at S.G. got this year means alot.Quite a few 9th and 10th graders seen some serious action,were even starters on both sides.Also keep in mind that these players will be working their tails off in the weightroom to get bigger,faster and stronger.S.G. al...

If michigan can put together a solid 4 quarters of football and play like they did against minnesota,then it should be a good game.That being said,the bucks have the home field advantage and if the defense can cause a few turn overs this one could get ugly.Let's hope it gets ugly!GO BUCKS
