Re: Chillicothe Coach Gary Kellough Steps Down

That would be a blessing if it's your last post altogether. If you think coaches only take jobs based on how much talent is there, then you are the one being naive. Other things come into consideration. Teaching assignment, money, proximity to home, loyalty to current school, etc...... I seriously d...

I could see it like this:

Warren 15-2
Logan Elm 13-4
Vinton County 11-6
Sheridan 11-6
Marietta 10-8
Fairfield Union 9-9

Gallia 3-16

Re: Regina is out of the tourney

If you do everything that you have to do to transfer a kid to another district and do it by the rules, I have no problem with them transfering. That's the problem. People don't do it by the rules. For instance if someone has an address in Oak Hill, but never stays at that address and continues to l...

Re: Regina is out of the tourney

Be careful superfly. I made a post earlier about this topic and my post was removed. I guess its OK to say things about a school as long as it's not a local school. Most of Oak Hill's team is origianally from other schools.

Re: SE District DII Semi: Logan Elm vs. Waverly

Let's not get on the refs too bad; they allowed Waverly a lot of stuff too. I don't think the refs had much bias toward Waverly when they allowed a kid to carry on without calling a technical. They had to stop the game in back to back posessions to calm him down, and then it takes a teamate to put ...

Re: WILL VC WIN THE T V C?

[quote][Well if Athens is good enough to get the 1 then V.C. should probably be the 3. Whats everyone think about that./quote] jc, You've argued that Warren is better than Vinton County, and now you're saying that VC should be seeded higher? Which is it? Seeding should go 1. Athens 2. Logan Elm 3. W...

Re: WILL VC WIN THE T V C?

Logan Elm certainly has an argument for the 1 seed, but not Warren. Every year, we have to hear about someone from the SEOAL who plays the toughest schedule outside of Villanova and Gonzaga who thinks they deserve the one seed. I've never seen so many teams that want credit for their losses! Would A...

Waverly dropped Vinton County from the schedule, so they will not play unless in tournament.

I know they had a nice team last year. Do they return most of those players, or did they get hit hard by graduation?

Re: TVC OHIO Vs. TVC HOCKING

Vinton County playing so many D-4 schools and then having to play D-2 in the tourney. I am sure that if they played more games against D-2 schools, they would do better in the post season more constantly By the term "so many" are you referring to the three D-4 schools they played last yea...

Re: Waverly Basketball looking to improve

By OHSAA rule, foreign exchange students must be placed in a school randomly, and not targeted by a school for a specific reason (ie being a really good basketball player). Was this the case at Waverly?

Re: Coaches attire

Coaches are still a representative of a school, and representatives of schools, in my opinion, should dress professionally. A teacher might be the best teacher around, but are you going to tell me that it would be considered OK for that teacher to come to school in shorts and a T-shirt. Appearance d...

Re: Boys Volleyball in southeast Ohio?

I actually looked into this a couple of years ago. I asked around and tried to get some answers. From everything I gathered I think that legally a school would have to allow a boy to play on the girls team. If a school does not offer a girls sport that is the same as the boys sport (ie Football) the...

Re: SVC 2008/2009

Wow. High School basketball is becoming like college ball. You can't even really discuss who is going to be good until you wait and see what players certain schools are going to land in the off season.
