Re: SOC 2 2010
What seniors or juniors are first year starters that you are talking about? For the most part the seniors are going to be in their 2nd or 3rd year starting and there are some juniors that will be in their 2nd year of starting. There will only be 3 returning starters on offense (2- two year starters...

Re: SOC 2 2010
This will be one of Minford's biggest graduation losses in a long time but I think there are kids that can step up.....they just need to do it. Minford has lost between 12 and 14 seniors for I think this will make the 3rd year in a row. They know how to plug people into positions and move along jus...

Re: Questions about D. Roback & C. Southworth
It will be interesting. A lot of kids are getting looks and trying to make decisions and it makes it tough when you have a change at the top. Good luck to both of these guys and all the other seniors that are making some tough decisions right now.

Re: SOC 2 2010
You can't teach experience, and old teams and a more importantly old offensive lines win championships... That was the major difference for Minford this year. They had a very experienced line and were able to adjust to the defensive stunts they faced. That's what hurt West in the game with Minford ...

Re: D5 - R19 - Regional Final - Ridgewood vs. Fredericktown
I posted this in another thread but it ended up Youngstown Ursuline 48 Ridgewood 6. Sounded like a pretty ugly game. #5 Conrad was reportedly out in the first quarter with a probable concussion and he was able to re-enter the game after being cleared by EMS to only then go out again with a shoulder ...

Good deal. Nice to see him get picked up again so quick. Hopefully he will have the opportunity to show his talents. One thing for sure, the weather in San Diego is a heck of a lot better than Cincinnati.

Re: Being Competitive in Playoffs ?
Honestly, I think Minford kinda got satisfied with winning the league, but Burg on the other hand, had no nothing to show for their year therefore they weren't satisfied. Not knocking Minford they had a great year, its just easy to get satisfied at the end of the year, espically if you're not used ...

Re: Associated Press All-District Team released
back to this subject....forget what i said. you all are right. a sophomore should win it over juniors and seniors. i am sure it is just peoples imagination that most teams ran away from sloan. i do honestly wish him the best. a lot to live up to the next 2 years though. Why don't you crawl back fro...

buckeye83 wrote:I was wondering what everyone would think was the average attendence at their home games? 500-800 I would guess
Minford had a heck of a lot more than that. Especially for the Wheelersburg and Valley games. I would guess well over 2,500.

Re: SOC League Honors
SOC picks are pre-determined by the team finish in the league. There are only 1st team picks and 2nd team picks. Nothing by position except the POY. Correct, I was just saying, in essence, Minford should have several players on the SOC team, which as you stated is based on where each team finished ...

Re: SOC League Honors
If the focus is on performance during conference play, that would have a big impact as some players really stepped up in conference play. Whether based on conference play alone or the entire season, Minford should have several on the all conference team and arguably have the best O-line, receivers, ...

Re: To the Minford Falcons
To the Minford Falcons, we are proud of you guys. You did what many said you couldn't do this year from beating Coal Grove to beating the 3 Ws, winning the SOC outright, and hosting a home playoff game. These were goals you all set at the beginning of the year and goals YOU knew (and WE knew) you w...
