They have a dominate riffle team, one of the best in the country every year! http://www.ncaa.com/history/rifle/nc West Virginia is the champions of shooting guns, who would have ever thought? Next thing you know Florida will be the Champs of getting tanned, and California will be the champi...

Re: Biggest Upset in Ohio History

This is "FAR" from the biggest but it's just a recent one that people still remember and was from a local area, and that is Northwest over Oak Hill back in the 07-08 season.

Pride?

This could be put on any forum but since basketball is the most active right now I will use it. Do you believe that pride for ones school is a thing of the past? I can think of examples on both sides winning schools and losing schools where the players just do not have pride for their school. For pe...

My thoughts on it is you are either going to be a good person or a good coach....it all depends on what is most important to the particular coach

Re: Top 5 Coaches in Southern Ohio

I think there are many coaches who deserve accolades in our area. But what interests me most are the coaching techniques used by some of the greats. Therefore, I have compiled a list of the top 5. This list is not exhaustive, but simply a thumbnail of some techniques and antics used by our heroes. ...

Re: Top 5 Coaches in Southern Ohio

If you coach varsity you desreve credit, I help assist for 8'th grade girls and that can be difficult, the pressures of being a mens varsity coach has to be tough.....They all deserve some form of credit, true some are better then others but if you have never tried coaching you can't understand how ...

Re: clay vs nw friday night

Northwest lost alot, however, they have 1 returning starter(Crabtree), their 6'th man from last year(Blankenship), another returner who played numerous minutes in varsity(Brown) and another player who played some quality minutes as well(Miller). Northwest also has 2 guards who probably have the best...

Trap teams?

Who do you guys think will be a trap team this year? By a trap team I mean a team that will probably not have the names or talent of the top tier teams, but are still a good ball club and can shock a few teams? My trap team is my old high school northwest, they lost a lot of big names this past year...

Re: Bengals lose again

You remember when we used to have a running back named Cedric Benson and he was able to be a work horse on offense and create the passing game off the run? Man I wish we still had him....oh wait, what are you saying, he's still on the team!! :122246 could have fooled me

Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks

Waverly throws the ball decent. They have a young QB that is getting much better. Their RB (#30 I think?) runs the ball hard and their line is coming around. I think if they can get 100 yards in the air against Northwest, they will win this one rather handily..... I don't think with a 2-7 record an...

Re: As a player(any sport)how did you handle losing

I'll go through the game in my head and what I did wrong and think how I can correct it next time, im usually upset but I will only show the emotions on the field and in the locker room. Dwelling on it outside of the field and locker room is a way to ruin relationships with people outside of your te...

I know they are flying under the radar after the loss of Hank Leslie and Kreig Crabtree but Both Jeremy Blankenship and Kenny Crabtree will be fantastic players for Northwest and they will keep the Mohawks a contender in every game they play.

Re: Northwest (2-1) @ Notre Dame (1-2) (Sat)

Good luck to the Mohawks. It would be great for the rest of the SOC II teams for Northwest to come into league play at 3-2 with 11 second level points. Has Symmes valley really improved that much since we beat them my senior year at NW (07-08). Or have they just patsied their schedule up? Not tryin...

Re: Northwest (2-1) @ Notre Dame (1-2) (Sat)

Neither team will have any superstars by any means...but Northwest wins the numbers game with depth, and contradicting my own first statement one heck of a running back in luke brown.
