Re: Northwest defeats Waverly 48-47
Both teams played solid, NW was just able to come out on top...Im not 100% sure but if I were to make a guesstimation I would say somewhere between 17-22 somewhere in that range but i could be way off

The #5 seed Northwest if they get past #4 Huntington Ross I feel they have the players to beat #1 seed Peebles if they play them

Re: Northwest @ Eastern / Feb 16
well they have a team full of shooters, #23 can shoot the lights out from behind the arc his high this season was 7 3's in 1 game and I believe he is averaging about about 15 or 16 points a game, the point guard #34 plays smart and can knock down the open jumpers that are given to him and he wont tu...

I agree that Leslie will be a hand full and then some for the Eagle defenders, but like they always say, one man can't beat you. Would a box and one work against him?
Well it's a good thing he has 4 others out there with him

Re: Best.
No, the worst is when you chant "just like football". I believe when you do that, you're putting emphasis on the football team instead of the basketball team. Sounds disrespectful to the basketball players (and I was a football guy). I might be going to my first Ohio University bball game...

Re: What was the last school to have a 7 footer in SE ohio
I know Northwest has had Cody Shy who was 7' exactly or a bit over and Chance Hiles who was 6'10 or 6'11...and I believe Valley had the 2 twins a few years back who had to be close to 7'....also I know there was a man that played at Kentucky in the 80's that was over 7' and was from one of the local...

Re: The Best Rivalry in Southern Ohio basketball
Back in the day Northwest/Valley was just pure hatred...there for a while the rivalry died down but I can see a hatred starting to build back up between the 2 schools...it's weird for people that basically live in the same area to be COMPLETELY different in every way

Re: Northwest @ Oak Hill 2/2 Tuesday
I would love to see NW pull this one out as crazy as it may sound I think they can do it, they still have 3 of the essential players that helped to pull the upset on OH back in 08, the only difference I see is OH is missing Leslies biggest problem which was Hale...so im thinkin if Northwest can pull...

Re: South Webster @ Northwest 1/26 JEEPS WIN 60-58 buzzer beater
Great game, the legend of northwest is right NW has to start closing...and they also need a true leader on the team, not saying they're not good ball players...but you need a captain to step up and say don't take the shot until there is absolutely no chance the other team has a chance to score, whic...

Re: South Webster @ Northwest 1/26
im gonna take NW by 5, 59-54 after the big win over Burg I feel their confidence is up and they won't come into the game underestimating the jeeps like they did the first time around, I think Kenny Crabtree will have a big game because Webster will stick 2 or 3 on leslie and will have somebody chasi...

Well im clearly not referring to you Mohawk, and I overreacted but sometimes it still gets to me and I understand nobody is coming on here and openly verbally abusing these students but they can read between the lines. And im not going to disagree the school board has many many problems...... but de...

you know skimming through this "note" I said skim not read cause I can't stand to look at grown men and women bashing on high school students, it is pretty disheartening and sickening....but I digress. I have seen several posts saying these "serious" football players need to find...

and also NW was not allowed to honor Hank between regulation and OT because if both coaches do not agree then NW would have gotten a technical..and Villinger had already told the officials he did not agree to stopping the game for anything

Re: Valley @ Northwest 1-6-10
There are some things more important than winning a game (which I don't think 30 seconds would have hurt) it basically would have been a free time out.....Valley will go on to win plenty more games but you can only be honored for 1,000 points once! and as for just announcing he scored 1,000 points, ...
