Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

It has been a long time since I have seen a jv team that solid from top to botom, and I dont meen just 8 or 9 deep. Foul trouble will be no trouble for coach Moore. Not only is the sophomore group talented but you just mixed a experienced junior group with them. Coach Moore must be living well to ha...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

This is definatley a double edged sword. I agree it is better to play on the reserve than sit on the varsity, but it will be a juggling act to filter in all of the talent coach Moore has with the juniors. As much as this can help these four boys it can also have reprecussions on the existing sophomo...

Re: Ironton leaving the SEOAL

I for one am not mad Ironton is leaving the league and I wish them well and still hope they [play Gallipolis. I still beleive that over the next few years that the SEOAL will either look much different or become much smaller. I still have no idea why it angers some on here to talk about the SEOAL ch...

Re: Gallia's Osborne 2009 Paul Walker award winner

Coach Oz teaches you more about responsibility and being accountable than playing ball. He has great knowledge of the game and continues to strive for excellence. I remember several half time speeches and playing basketball for Gallipolis remains one of my greatest acheivments and memories to this d...

Re: Round 2 Wheelersburg vs. Liberty Union at Jackson

I was very impressed by Wheelersburg and Minford Saturday night. I thought it was a great hard hitting rivalry game that really could have gone either way. i realize that the Burg outgained them by a good amount but I thought Minfords D was great when they had to be and I think would have done bette...

Re: Round 2 Ironton vs. New Lexington at JACKSON

I watched ironton last Friday and coach Lutz made great half time adjustments. It looks like New Lex spreads it out like Westfall only better which gave the Tigers fits in the first half. But one things for sure New Lex better be able to stop the run because I know they will get a steady diet of it....

Re: GIRLS BBALL COACH AT GALLIA ACADEMY

I was going to say that Gallipolis fans give noone a chance, but the people on here complaining are not Gallipolis fans. How can we complain before she even has the chance to coach the first game? I realise she has coached before and probably made a lot of people unhappy but I beleive that this is a...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

I have been part of the argument whether Oz should run or not but sometimes we dont have a team that can run with the chillicothes and zanesvilles. I have often wondered would it make people happier to have a loss of 90-80 or 55-45. I played for coach Oz and I learned more from him than just basketb...

Re: GAHS Proud Moment

Big cat Marietta, that was a great post and I agree with you . Nobody told Marietta this was happening and it seemed like they were just being kids and having fun in the mud. I did not take it as disrespectful at all. I just take it as lack of communication. I heard as well that there was a Devil fa...

Re: Portsmouth West Administration

Go West, stand strong and stand up tp your administration and tell them that the prison is in Lucasville and this is high school. Taking away all of the things I have read seems to be ridiculous, sports and extra curricular activities is a great part of high school and in some ways teaches as much a...

Re: Playoffs D5 R19 (8-2) Ridgewood @ (10-0) Portsmouth West

I saw them at Wheelersburg last year and they were young but very diciplined and tackled well and ran the ball very well. It looks like most of there wins were against weeker opponets but they dont control the schedule. They threw the ball very little last year and I am guessing they have not change...

Tom , you and Jimbo have done it right and have done it with passion and fairness. You will be missed but rest assured you can take a seat by the rest of the Devil fans and be a arm chair coach and be a little bias now. You have an open invatation to come and set with us any time you wish. Your film...

Re: WK 10 Game of Week Sheridan vs New Lexington MVL Championshi

Is there a more meaniful region or exciting region in reg. 12 that it seems like everybody is playing a "game of the year". Thornville#1 in reg. 12 vs. New Lex #2 in Reg. 15, Logan Elm #2 in reg. 12 vs. Canal Winchester #4 in reg. 12, oh by the way the first four teams I mentioned here are...

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)

zbd, Gallipolis historicaly travels well even at 2 hr plus places away. I am sure our crowd will show up. That was a great game Friday night. Gallipolis defense probably played a little over there head and there offense was definatly sub par. Zanesville has a nice squad and I have mentioned several ...

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)

The Gallipolis team should keep there heads up and have all of the pride in the world. Nobody gave them a shot Friday night and they hung in there. Dont let Zanesvilles record fool you they are a very good football team. There fullback was bruising and there halfback was very quick. I really liked t...

WK 10 Game of Week Sheridan vs New Lexington MVL Championshi

I know this is probably not SEOPS territory, but close enough. Is there a better game out there next Friday night. If you could which game would you go see. Logan vs Chill. or Wheelersbug vs P. West or New Lex vs Thornville. Thonville is #1 in there region and New Lex is #1 in ther region. My guess ...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

I think everyone has forgotten about the Eberhardt boy. IMO he sees the floor as well as anyone and handles the ball well. I am sure he will give coach Oz some options along with Jarrod Golden. This team should be like the football team and overacheive. We definatley have a tough schedule but knowin...

Not true a at all, this coach was great and said at times this year he was very upset with his teams effort. He commented that Gallipolis hit hard but seemed to have a little trouble moving the ball on Friday night. Whoever he was he was a class act . GO BLUE DEVILS

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)

To say that the score would have been 30-0 if not for the turnovers in stupid. I thinkl Gallipolis had something to do with the turnovers. I hate that argument that if it werent for turnovers someone would have won by a lot more or a lot less. I guess you can use the same stupid argument that if we ...

Re: WEEK 9 ~ ZANESVILLE (3-5) @ GALLIA ACADEMY (5-3)
