Re: Is there an OVC preview this year?
Are you sure the date is correct?? December 1 is a Monday and the opening of the girls season. Why would they hold boys previews on that night? The league has always had the previews on a Friday or Tuesday. If this date is correct, not very smart or considerate on the leagues part.

Re: Former Fairland BOE member says "Vote No" on Stadium Levy
The prison in Lucasville has paid for everything in Valley. The school owns all of the land surrounding the area, so when they need something new built they sell off a parcel of land. From the plans that were at a game and from talking with Mr. Manns and Mrs. Young, the 3.2 will not get facilities a...

Re: Former Fairland BOE member says "Vote No" on Stadium Levy
I applaud the convictions of those against the stadium. At least you are willing to state your objections publicly. Now I ask each of you Karl, Boog , etc...give some solutions to the problem. A new stadium is not a luxury in this case. I have been told anyone wanting to use electrical outlets are c...

Re: Former Fairland BOE member says "Vote No" on Stadium Levy
I believe this levy will never pass. There are too many people living in the community who simply do not care about athletics (but that is another conversation). Without a new stadium, it is very easy to see that the school will be playing all away games in the very near future. One, the stadium is ...

Re: Fairland Football Coach ?
Honestly, I do not think Sam Huff had any serious looks from Kentucky. If he did, once they saw his grades and size, I am sure they went looking somewhere else. People in this area just do not understand the type of size and speed are necessary to play Division I sports let alone SEC football.

future, you wrote: "fhsfan, you have to put Mike Black on Fairland list. He was the floor general from the 1996 Regional team." I think you are letting your kinship with Mike cloud your judgement. Mike was a good player and did a good jog for that team, but in no way is he one of the best ...

Re: Ironton Basketball 2008
The rumor mill is churning hard in Proctorville. Lamb is already gone from what is being said in P-ville. I have also heard that Bloomfield and Hatfield (both capable of handling the ball) are considering moves to Ironton. On top of that, if Ironton could find a way to lure Coach Belville to the sid...
