Re: Open Jobs
This is a bunch of BS. Sad that soooo many schools go through this every 2-3 years ! What's BS? Do you think people are beating down the doors to coach HS sports these days? If you do, you are completely delusional. . Exactly my point and yet many of schools make a long, drawn out process for littl...

Re: Minford vs. Lutheran East
So the two goal tending calls were tough. Both appear to be wrong, but I seen those calls "reviewed" by big time college officials all weekend. What else was so blatant that it cost Minford the game? Anyone talking about the ball bouncing on the top of the backboard has no clue on the rule...

Re: (4) Valley vs (1) Eastern Pike
Congratulations to the Eagles! Great 2nd half for the Eagles way to come out and put the game away in the 3rd. I knew about 3 minutes into this game the Eagles was the better team but hats off to Valley they played a hard game and will be a force in the next couple of years. We must have been watch...

You have to give the guy a chance to turn it around. That is for sure.
But unless he has two D1 nephews coming up in the system, I wouldn't bank on a turnaround story like the girls program.

Re: Zane Trace (19-4) vs Ironton (15-7) at Waverly
What was going on after the game? After the hand shake you can see the Ironton Coach walking like he was going after someone, all the players stopped at Half court and watched, then a moment later you see the same head coach head the other direction. :?: Ironton always seemed to have a 4th qtr lead...

Re: Pressing Up 20+
Look- there was zero "pressing" whatsoever in the entire 4Q and it was also a 2 point game at halftime. The only reason this would ever come up is because it was GIRLS basketball. Have you seen some of the blowout scores in boys games this season- even with a running clock? Final score wa...

Re: No Shot-clock? Then It’s Not Really Basketball
Well, you guys are gonna be mighty unhappy because it’s on its way. No it isn't. And it is not needed. Schools are lucky enough to have someone that can actually run the game clock. The process of running a shot clock would be an absolute disaster in high school sports. You have major college baske...

Re: Chesapeake 47 Gallia Academy 32 a final
Great to see you a 2nd time in a handful of days!
I would say that wasn't the most crisp Peake will look this season, but give Gallia credit. They played hard and they are going to be a brute in the OVC if those kids stay together and continue to improve.

Re: Pressing Up 20+
Thoughts? Team is down 20+ with 2 minutes left and they sub in their JV girls. Winning team keeps pressing. With a minute left still pressing and to the point the refs are calling touch fouls against the winning team. Coach keeps the press on while up 24 with 30 seconds left. Is this just where we ...

Re: ... last regular season's "bottom 1/3" of SEO - Who improves? Who gets better this 2024-25 season?
Oak Hill has a few starters returning and a talented freshman class, but I’m not sure if the record will improve. The SOC remains a beast with Minford, Webster, Burg, Waverly, and West all seeming to be on their way to excellent seasons. Well none of those teams are in Oak Hill's league so not sure...

Re: N W VS BURG
This thread is gold...... One team shot 8 more free throws. Made 4 more free throws. And won the game by 17. The losing team took 1 more FG attempt than the winning team. The losing team took 36 2's. The winning team took 39 2's. But the losing team wasn't getting calls so they didn't go to the buck...
