Re: Whiteoak VS Peebles 2/1

I try not to quote to much on any posts, but I do have to agree with sneaky 1 on this one. Peebles does not really have a post threat. The Daniels boy is a decent player, and not saying that one day he won't be o.k., but not this year. He has a lot of talent, but really does not use it as effective...

Not sure on stats but I heard Blake and Jake played pretty well....havent heard specifics for anyone else yet.
Somebody lied to you then. Jake missed easy shot after easy shot (bunnies). Needs to get stronger or coaches should look into starting the Chamlin boy.

how about Libby Crothers, alumni and has varsity experience at PIketon. Libby would be great! Any updates.....any interest from last year's applicants? Can anyone remember who all put in for it last season? Really? Piketon didnt want her anymore. Others that should be considered then would be Billy...

Re: IRONTON 69 VS Peebles 68 - 2 OT - FINAL

Great season to the kids at Peebles. You guys were definately fun to watch and very fun to coach against this year. As a team you have all fought through adversity in one way or another. Keep your heads up and continue working hard. Did you forget your password for Mrhoops2u?...Fairly sure you can ...

Re: Peebles vs. Manchester

Doesn't Manchester play their first tourney game Tuesday and then will play Peebles Wednesday night? I think the score will be closer, I'll take Peebles by 6. Let's hope there are no injuries for Peebles in these final 3 games before tourney. Peebles by 14.....might have been a good thing that the ...

If the Indians go out and play Indian basketball they will be fine. We are talking about playing Portsmouth.........I feel that they should be talking about playing Peebles!!! One game at a time! Peebles Pride!

Re: The Best Rivalry in Southern Ohio basketball

The Peebles/North Adams Rivalry stretches back to the year 1880. That's when an employee of the Portsmouth Railroad Company, John Geddes Peebles and his partner, Thaddeus Seaman, marked out the location where the new railroad and Highway 41 would intersect. The town growing around this spot would l...

Simply found it interesting that he was the only player from that list you didn't mention. Just checkin' ;) As I stated before I am not here to ruffle anyone's feathers. Sneaky1 is there a reason you intentionally removed Josh Arey from your list of greats? Not even an honorable mention in your list of, "memorable mediocres"??? I didnt leave out josh arey. he was mentioned before by mattchristopher. I would put josh arey above buddy sowards, but well belo...

Don't know what's wrong with my quotes. Hope you can follow.... Sneaky1, just trouble with P.O.Y. for some of your list, and my original list. My bad for not following the author's thread for potential SHL P.O.Y. Not disputing any on your list as being standouts for PHS. This years POY for me would...

Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y

Kelly Copeland was a pretty good player for the Indians back in the day. Played with the Justice twins which was a pretty good trio. Remember some good match ups between Kelly Copeland and Randy Rosselot of NA. I forgot about Kelly, glad he was mentioned as he sure should have been. Matt Christophe...

Re: Early Favorites for SHL P.O.Y

Andrew Seaman, for his all around ability. He plays hard on both ends of the floor, EVERY night. He may not have the highest scoring average, but he can do so many things well. Justice is a great player. Smart, etc., but I believe Seaman may be the best ball player to come out of Peebles. Just my o...

I thought the saying was "Be like Mike" not look and act like Johnny! Funny funny stuff. At first glance, I wondered if Johnny's son was coaching at Peebles too.
