Re: TVC Expansion - Gallia Academy
Makes sense for Gallia to join TVC and it makes sense for the OVC to merge into the SOC. Football wise it would be: Top: Wheelersburg Waverly Minford South Point West Fairland Portsmouth Middle: Northwest Valley Symmes Valley Chesapeake Rock Hill Coal Grove Bottom: Oak Hill South Gallia Eastern Notr...

Re: Is Symmes Valley a top team in the area
They will be solid, no doubt. Smith kid is very solid. One of the better teams in SEO D6 (I'd put North Adams above them) ... but a top team in all of SEO might be a stretch. I'd put them probably somewhere in the 25-30 range in SEO. Chillicothe Sheridan Miami Trace Marietta Warren Local Jackson Hil...

Re: SE District Teams by New Division for the 2024-25 season:
A lot of the kids clay gets in do not play sports. I believe you should be able to file an appeal to play in a lower division if applicable. Schools are allowed to play in a bigger division so why not allow schools to appeal to play smaller. Of course, there should be certain requirements for this ...

Re: Coaching Openings
I guess I could have worded that better... it definitely was not an insult whatsoever. Coach Davis is very demanding of his athletes (which is a great thing). He will push them every day and if they don't play his way they will be on the bench (also a great thing). Meigs has had some issues lately s...

Re: Coaching Openings
Coach Davis is a very good coach who gets the most out of his kids. His son will play low D1 (big and can shoot it with 2 years left). Pairing him with what Meigs has returning makes one very special team. Honestly, top 5 in SEO. Could end #1 by years end. The major question is…. Can Meigs handle Da...

Re: Southeast District D IV Baseball Records 2024
South Webster with a tremendous showing against #3 in D3 Wheelersburg last night, falling 3-2. They are gaining some momentum heading into the draw. Hopefully coaches understand the strength of their schedule/conference and rank them fairly. However, being that Martin RPI is not used in OHSAA Baseba...

Re: Valley baseball 2024
Coach Crabtree does a great job and his guys will continue to improve. A lot of youth seeing the field in Valley so they just have to keep working and the results will follow.

Re: Southeast District D4 Predictions
South Webster will have young arms but they are extremely well coached and will only improve throughout the season. Playing in the always loaded SOC will make them ready come tournament time regardless of the wins and losses they accrue. I wouldn't sleep on them to win the district again.

Re: JACKSON AT IRONTON
I think Jackson has enough athletes to be right there with Ironton so it wouldn't surprise me if they win.
However, a Saturday night game of a classic with a huge crowd.... would be a tough task for sure.

Re: Wheelersburg @ Ironton Week 1
Completely unbiased viewpoint…. I thought both teams flashed a ton of potential. I don’t think Ironton has the overall horses of their last few state championship game runs, but maybe they’ll prove me wrong. Terry is an absolute beast. I’m very confused what’s going on with the Pittman kid? He got a...

Re: Week 1: Valley @ Portsmouth
59 is a whole bunch of points in a high school game… but I have faith in Coach Crabtree. Valley is young. They’ll continue to improve as the year goes. On another note, I am so glad to see Portsmouth having success in football this year. That staff doesn’t get enough credit for what they’ve done the...

Who is Valley’s RB that might end up the best to come out of there? Not watching the game, just saw the post and was curious who it is.

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
Ironton is ran like a college program. A very demanding schedule every single week followed up by immense competition for nearly every position. It isn’t for every one. Lintz was always the best athlete at Northwest and it wasn’t even close. He wasn’t at Ironton. The daily schedule at Ironton was ni...

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
With the move ins they’ve had and what they had returning, I genuinely believe this is the best overall team Pendleton has had during his tenure. Athletes all over the field and not a single position isn’t loaded and deep. If Pendleton doesn’t get over the hump and win the state with this group the...

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
Lintz is a senior and will also help the basketball team. Great athlete. Everything I've heard is he is a top notch kid, also.
Surprised he left Northwest but I also understand why if he believes it will help him garner better collegiate opportunities.

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
Kids are starting to see that Ironton is giving kids the chance to play at next level. You can't blame a kid. I agree. Times are changing. Certain schools up north have been on the receiving end of transfers for many years to form super teams. Transferring is only going to happen more and more. I d...

Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
I have heard that Lintz from Northwest has enrolled at Ironton. He's a heck of an athlete. I'm not sure what position he'll play there but I'd assume WR and CB.
Huge loss for Northwest, great gain for Ironton.

Re: South Webster - Head Coach
I have also heard Lattimore to Burg. He’s a heck of an athlete / player. However, if Portsmouth ends up hiring Lisath as they should, I can’t see any kid leaving Portsmouth. Jeff has done a tremendous job everywhere he’s been and would be a grand slam hire for Portsmouth.
