Re: Ingredients of a Winning Basketball Coach
Someone is really upset over those Southern teams from the eighties. We get that here in Trimble over football success. Hard to believe they're still jealous over thirty years

Re: TVC Hocking POY and TVC Ohio POY
Ohio-Burrows Hocking-Couch Trimble is undefeated and Southern wasn't even 500 at the time of the voting. It would be hard to give it to a player on a losing team over a player on an undefeated team. Howie likes to spread the wealth so it wouldn't surprise me to see someone else get it and him have t...

Re: Coach Howie Caldwell
I don't know if he left his starters in or not but has someone who played the game I think it is more humiliating for a coach on the opposing team to quit. People get all wrapped up in weather someone left their starters in or not. What makes the difference if you get beat by 32 or if you get beat b...

. POY is nice for the kid that wins it to have an award but I bet most people couldn't tell who the last five players were to win POY in the league or the district. I know I couldn't.Rebels on 3 wrote:Off topic but Greer is way better than anyone on Belpre's team. Greer will probably get tvc player of the year.

Re: GAHS basketball?
How many times I have seen this story. Mommy and Daddy thinks their kid is a D1 player and the coach doesn't know it so they move. D1 players are very few in our area and there have been a lot of good players over the years. D1 players don't have to move to get noticed. Colleges will find them. Nob...

If he is going to SG he will be sitting out a year. Not sure if I was the SG coach I would mess with my team chemistry.

Re: State Tournament
trojandave as always I enjoy reading your perspective. I agree a lot of transfers are because of family situations and I agree no system will ever be fair. I wouldn't be telling the truth if I said I didn't enjoy watching LeBron and Josh Duncan going at it in the state tournament. That is the only g...

Re: State Tournament
I always respect and enjoy reading trojandave's post. I still think the current system is unfair. Out of the three state titles and two state runnerups in SE District how many had transfers? I know of at least three of those teams did because I watched them play on other teams the year before. If yo...

I think if you compare the Chesapeake and Wheelersburg game this year to the one a few years back you will see what I mean by my statement.

Re: State Tournament
I think D3 was definitely down this year in SEO compared to what we have watched in the last decade. We have been spoiled with all the talented teams that D3 in SEO has put on the court. I think anyone who has watched much would agree. D2 has some exciting games this year. Some of the old traditiona...

Re: Referees
Have any of you people ever been and watched two major colleges teams play? Do you think the college students are yelling good job Mr. official you are doing a great job? Do you see college officials rabbit earing the crowd? No you don't. This is part of the atmosphere. They love the big game excit...

Good luck to Peebles. I would say you better work hard on defending the fast break because I would say your next game you are going to get a big dose of it.

Re: Peebles vs South Gallia District Final
Didn't like the T called on SG. The coach was knelt down on the floor when it was called. Not like he was showing up the official. I think SG had 8 fouls in the game before Peebles received their first foul. I am not from either school but thought the officiating was bad. I saw Justice get mauled on...

Re: Peebles vs South Gallia District Final
if peebles and Fairfield both win when would they possibly meet in the regional? first or second game? They would first play 24-1 Harvest Prep or Africentric in the Regional Semi's on Tuesday. Those two have already advanced from the Central district. I think Peebles and PV win in the district but ...
