Who is the 2nd best player would be a good thread.

Maybe you haven't seen Nelsonville-York's Kim Kline or Alexander's Whitney Smith play before.

Re: Week 10: Zanesville (4-5, 3-2) @ Jackson (5-4, 2-4)

Zanesville showed NO class by punching the TD in late. NO CLASS AT ALL. Good riddance, get out of the SEOAL. No possible explanation for going for it there other than trying to run the score up, very, very classless. Hope the Ironmen keep their heads up. It was a rough end to the season. The band do...

Come on Ironman02, you have to know the answer. Don't you remember working on the Jackson volleyball history book with me? The 1980s were a great time for Jackson volleyball.

Re: Week 9: Logan (8-0, 4-0) AT Jackson (5-3, 2-3)

Of the rivals Jackson has, Logan is the most respected in my opinion. Usually always a great game. Doesn't surprise me that everyone is getting along here. Locos, 02 and 92, what is your favorite Jackson-Logan game? Mine would be 1998. Jackson was coming off a shocking loss at home to Warren. Logan ...

Re: Jackson Ironladies

You also have Athens hosting and ahead of Warren, and Warren beat Athens twice. I believe Jackson beat Unioto too, and Unioto is the top seed. The Divsion II sectional seeding is more complicated than the BCS.

Oh they're all awesome. But I thought Betsy was very impressive today, especially in the title game. But everyone in their lineup is an all-league, all-district caliber player, no doubt.

Re: Spartan Invitational

Alexander won their tournament, not dropping a set. Beat Huntington in the finals. Betsy Irwin is an amazing player. Spartans are really playing good.

South Webster lost a couple matches today. Lots of good teams in this tournament.

Should be interesting to see what tournament seeding Jackson gets with a 15-3 record, and if they can make a run to the districts.

Re: WK 6 Jackson(4-1) @ Marietta(2-3)

Ironman02 can correct me if I'm wrong - but 2001 is the only time I can remember Jackson losing at Marietta in a long time. But Marietta won at Jackson in 2002 and 2004. Jackson has to play much better than Friday. No costly turnovers. Play better defense or it will possibly be another high-scoring ...

Re: Alexander VS Athens

Alexander if fun to watch. Even in that first set when Athens was ahead of them, you just knew the Spartans were going to dial it up a notch, and they did. Hardest working girls imaginable. There are no weak links in that lineup. All the girls are solid and all have put a lot of time in. People shou...

Re: Nelsonville TV Cable

I've had all kinds of problems trying to watch the station. Every week at least one football game is played while it's fast forwarding. And it runs like that over and over, no one fixes it or takes it off the air. And I don't know about anyone else - but when I flip to that station looking to see a ...

Re: gridiron grory

As I said in an earlier post, Gridiron Glory is a great show. The 'kids' work hard. Imagine if this show never started? The show makes athletes around here look like rock stars, with the highlights and players of the year packages. And man, Steely Dan, I must say your last few posts left me in shock...

Ironman02 - After considering my post for a day or two, I have to apologize to you. You are a legend. I am not. Me calling you out is like that guy from the Wizards calling out LeBron James in the playoffs last year. Not a smart move. I shouldn't have done it. You went to school with my nephew, thin...

Hey sportszhawk04 - what up? I agree completely with sportzhawk04. It's pretty lame that people get on here and trash these people on gridiron glory who work hard to put the show on. No way they can please every team every week with full coverage of every game. I would think the fact that Fed Hock p...

Anybody know who won the Alex-Meigs game? I'm going to guess Meigs isn't undefeated anymore at this point.
