Re: Head Coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes- JIM TRESSEL!
Tressel is the best coach in football period. I would take him over anyone at any level. I would as well. At least with the vest you know or at least believe strongly that what you are seeing is what you get. Honest program run with winning as a priority but not the only thing. When they lose, they...

Re: Head Coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes- JIM TRESSEL!
[quote="JChipwood"]It's hard to say who the best actually is because alot of programs don't get the recognition and many coaches may be doing things that others couldn't given the talent level they play with or against. As far as the "publicity" program coaches I would agree, as ...

Re: Head Coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes- JIM TRESSEL!
I realize to those who dont respect the way he goes about his business to his unparalled success as Head Coach of the Bucks, there are no statistics that will change the minds that are closed. In my previous remark I called his achievements "unparalled" at Ohio State knowing all too well ...

The golden age of Reds baseball. What a great baseball man he was. To handle all those egos and win like they did was a masterpiece.

Re: Best athletes in southeastern Ohio all time?
Didnt Gullett play for a Kentucky school? Good call on Hisle/Oliver. How about Gene "Fury" Tenace? I went to school with Greg Cook until the 8th grade. I have no idea how I forgot him but he wouldve been one of the all time greats in the AFL and then NFL. AFL Rookie of the Year, and set n...

Re: WHAT IN A TUMBLEWEED, HAS HAPPENED TO TEXAS.
Any team can go through reloading. All the talking heads screaming for the Buckeye's coach to be fired need to take note. I would like any of those, "so called fans," to show me a team that has not lost a game each year that everyone thought they shouldn't. Five Big Ten titles in a row is ...

I agree, OSU chose the right coach, Mr. Ferentz loses more games than he should. VERY glad I'm a Buckeye Fan!seofan_via_dublin wrote:Ferentz is a decent coach that has a good team once every 4 years, that has to over rely on starters because he never has great depth.
I couldnt give a crap what he thought.

Re: LeBron James plays race card
Pardon me, but people of his own race have been calling him out, and rightly so. The King? He cant carry MJ's, Kobe's, Bird's, Magic's, etc, etc, etc jockstraps. Kobe won with and after Shaq left. Lejerk couldnt win on his own so he had to orchestrate and all-star team to try to win. That Yankee ha...

How ironic that Favre is brought up in a conversation about James, both were admired beyond almost anyone else in their sport and both showed their true character or lack thereof.

Well the NBA has been a farce for years, Major League Baseball has shot itself in the foot too many times to count, and the king of kings NFL has even the great Steelers Teams now being questioned. To many it doesn't matter how you get there. As P.T. Barnum said there is a sucker born everyday.

Re: little leauge baseball tournament
There have been years that the tournament was not held, but as has been said this was a special tournament. It was very well run, good teams, on a very nice field. Kyger Creek was THE tournament and it had that atmosphere about it. The employees there deserve a lot of credit for starting it up again...

Re: Dateline NBC - Sun. 7/25 @7pm to feature Athens, Hocking Co.
Poverty is not a political issue. There are those impoverished in any administration like it or not. The only real question is what does the richest country in the history of the world do with people that are in need. They could be ignored or they can be helped. To me they must be helped. In helping...
