Waverly has beaten Minford badly and physically the last two years. I think this Minford team is improved over last year's but this week starts the test. Minford is big, fast and physical. Minford will have to play its best game of the season this week.

Did anyone else wonder why Oak Hill kept their starters in the entire 4th quarter against Minford's 2s? Slone is their O but why not let your 2's play?

West will suffer against Burg because of their one dimensional offense.

It is a real shame that ohter SOC schools other than Minford do not have women's soccer. Title 9 in most schools would require it if any parents would push it.

Great game for Minford and great atmoshere. I love Minford's stadium. You can not ask for anymore than 5-0. Oaks will roll in the SOC I. East will be their only challenge. Minford's O line and hard running took it to the OAKs. The real season starts for the Falcons now.

Advantages of Minford:

Alot of depth

A lot of speed individually and team wise

Balanced attack

Physically very strong

I can see how the Oaks make a couple of big big plays.

I'd expect several long drives from Minford that eat up the clock.

Despite their record, South Point is a very good team. I don't think the young Valley players can hang with them physically. South Point is very well coached. I rate them higher than Coal Grove who physically out manned Valley.

Coal Grove and Wellston will start producing second level points. Of the games left, Oak Hill, Waverly, Wheelersburg and West will be rich in points. Of course, the Falcons have to win most of those games. It is premature to worry about that. Just take one game at a time.

What has happened. I expected a good team this year.

Minford has exce;;ent players and Justice is great. The SOC II will be very tough this year.

I am looking forward to seeing Oak Hill pay. I have heard real good things about their QB and their passing attack. I am glad that this series revived. This year it will be a good points game for either team.

I know this about Minford. They are a tough, disciplined football team with a lot of speed, particularly with the two Williams brothers playing.
