I've been a Burg fan for years and look at the teams realistically. Burg plays good but not great. I don't know if everyone else has caught up in talent and preparation or Burg has fallen off. I don't know. As for Ironton, with success comes all the other bull that comes with it. People get butt hur...

So Most of the folks I know from Burg put pinto beans in their shaker jugs. I guess if they got hungry they could cook em up. Ingenuity and Southern Ohio hillbillyness at its finest. They think they aren't hillbillies but they are. I find it hilarious. Go Burg! Let's play some football.

Good job Pirates. Won 3 out of the last 4 years State Champions. Scioto County brought home 2 titles. ND D7 Champs. And he bos 4x 100 relay team for Burg smoked it today. Great day to be a Pirate. WE ARE THE BURG!!!

Burg just smoked Oak Harbor 15-2 Mercy Rule. Moving on to play Baltimore Liberty Union tomorrow evening for D5 State Title. Portsmouth Notre Dame plays this evening for D7 title.

Good luck to all the Southern Ohio young men and women competing in the State Track Finals. You did something right to make it this far. Go make some noise.

Congrats to Portsmouth and Coach Hughes. I remember watching Coach Hughes at the Burg and in college. Your team plays a lot like you did, gritty tough defense and a well thought out offense. Way to represent Portsmouth and Southern Ohio.

I heard them say today Marion Local and Coldwater all home town kids. Marion Local beat Coldwater last game of the year. Actually shut them out. They could win D6 and D7. Again, to get there is one thing but to win is another. Great job Ironton. I always heard Burg cheated in 2017. OHSAA investigate...

It didn't take long for the bad mouthing to start. I'm a Pirate fan and I think it's pathetic. Kaskey the Pirate that got ran off called a heck of a game. I don't know what he got ran off for and don't care. Glad Trevon and his team finally got one. Heck of a person and a coach.

Terry won it for them today. Congrats Ironton Tigers. 2024 Division 5 State Football Champions. 28-17 with 46 seconds left.

Liberty Center has played a tough schedule. Ironton has as well. No common opponents to compare. I want Ironton to win but the Tigers from the south are going to have fight harder than the Tigers from the North to pull this off.
