Re: Clay VS East
Since I was at the game I know what mental lapse U R talking about. It WAS a confusing 30 seconds. An East player actually blocked the first attempt then both players got a look of confusion then the basket was made.Clay's coach is quite an "animated"person.By the way your reference to the c...

have to agree. How many caliber teams do U have in that state versus Ohio? Not to demean any school and their accomplishments but come on now.It is like comparing apples to oranges.

Re: East to play Burg Dec. 2nd
Last night's game cannot be used to assess East or Burg's talent.I believe Burg started all sophomores the first few minutes of game. Both teams kept a constant rotation of players, utilizing all,as an assessment tool for regular games would be my guess. It was only for a limited time was all starters ...

Re: Portsmouth Daily Times runs unnecessary story.
I highly doubt any coach would cut a player that could perform adequately for their team.Nor should a coach allow a sub par player play because of a disabilty.Birth defects do occur and do affect all aspects of their lives but these people do need to realize they have them and make the best of it.Of...

SP's Smith, Eaton from 'Burg and Walls from Waverly. On a side note: I read the thread from West_Sider and I can only hope that you NEVER have kids or are in anyway allowed to be affiliated with a sports organization where you can influence a child. What type of twisted mentality enables you to thi...

Bradford from East will be the best in SOC1.Craigmiles if he is used as a Rb. Both make tackles miss then take advantage of openings.

Re: THE WILDEST PLAYCALL YOU HAVE SEEN A HS COACH MAKE?
Ed Miller called a qb sneak in state championship game.We were 4th and 17 We lost. Coach Miller only played in one state title game and that was in 1989 and the Burg won. WOW! I never went to Burg and knew that! Thats pretty bad special! I remember when we won that game. was trying to pinpoint year...

Re: Coach's responsibility
The ref's have to call it as they see it.If U reverse one call because anyone, be it another player of opposing team or coach, corrects a ref the end result would be chaos the rest of the game with everyone calling and correcting all night after that.Plus it is not anyone but ref's resonsibilty to g...

Re: Conratulations to East, Burg,West and Minford
Blair will probably be on the line which I think will be better overall for the team. With the Garrett and the Bradford boys in the backfield along with Campa I think the backfield will be LOADED. The line is where we need to improve some more. The line is the key point to improve next season, even...

Thank you, couldn't figure out what in the world was happening on that play.It looked weir...

Re: SEMI-PRO FOOTBALL IN SCIOTO COUNTY
My father played semi pro for Ironton. He was from New Boston,Ohio. But we are talking, I think, about 1920-30's.Wish I had asked him, when I could have, but he had a colorful life, so many different experiences. The only story I remember him talking about in football was getting his nose broke in Chi...
