Re: Division IV Sectional at Meigs

The top dog in this sectional is South Webster. Anyone who can handle Wheelersburg will be a tough cat to clean after. They put the right team at #1.

Re: 1/20 - Portsmouth (9-3, 5-1) @ Ironton (5-7, 2-2)

Don't see an issue here at all unless someone is trying to make it one. Recruiting is not legal in Ohio and if anyone on this board has proof they should take their proof to the OHSAA, No school should be accused of recruiting whether it be an Ironton or any school without proof. One school in this ...

Re: Ohio Junior Amateur

Brent Morgan of Coal Grove finished the day with a 79 to end up 7 over par 151. Mitchell McFarland on the other hand shot a one under 69 to finish the day 5 over par 149. They both will end up somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Re: Ohio Junior Amateur

Brent Morgan of Coal Grove shot an even par 72 today as he is 2 shots off the pace as of now. Mitchell McFarland didn't fare as well as he shot an 8 over par 80 and is 10 shots off the lead going into tomorrow. There are still golfers on the course so that lead could increase. As of now Brent Morgan...

Ohio Junior Amateur

Brent Morgan of Coal Grove and Mitchell McFarland of Wheelersburg both tee off this morning at the Findlay Country Club in the 2014 Ohio Junior Amateur. Good luck to both these young men.

Re: Ironton st joe

Just some things I learned about this little Catholic school on the river. They graduated 18 Seniors last year. These 18 seniors generated 2.3 million dollars in scholarships. Just for an example..Miami of Oho only accepts around 10% of the young people who apply to their university and St Joe had 6...

Re: St Joe to the Convo

Slow down #30 box out and keep fouls to a minimum. Western had the game plan to beat them. Just didnt box out well enough. 30 is their best player but he gets frustrated with a tight defense. The 6'5 kid is solid at the free throw line. Slow down the pace and keep the passing crisp and the zone bec...

Re: St Joe to the Convo

St Joe is going to have their hands full with a very good Leesburg Fairfield Lions team. Now is their time to shine and I for one wish them the best of luck at the Convo. Go Flyers!

Hasn't even been a year since West beat'em by 20 at their place. You got that right! Catholics have short attention spans!     How would you know Oaf are you Catholic, I'm certainly not! Thanks Dan! I thought ND started fouling a little too soon at the end but then I'm not...

St Joe 45 Portmouth Notre Dame 43

Might be the first game the Titans have lost at home in who knows when. I didn't keep any stats but I would guess the Flyers high point player was Amber Neal.

Re: Game 1: St. Joe @ Notre Dame

St Joe started their comeback in the latter part of the second quarter. They nearly pulled it off. Notre Dame is a poor free throw shooting team or they would have won this thing going away.

I was told by someone at South Point that they did indeed get a kid from Central Crossing, a school out of Grove City.

Re: Ironton 2012- 8 games scheduled so far others in negotia

How many wins do you see on that schedule for Ironton? They lost a LOT of talent. Return Brown and White but not much else... What about Tanner Schweickart, Aaron Stephens, Nick Culbertson, Adam Webb, Tanner Dutey, Patrick Lewis, Nick Heaberlin, Austin Rowe just to name a few I can think of off the...

Why would this be only Ironton losing a great gate? Wouldn't The Burg also be losing the same gate? Just asking!

12/12/2011: Brian Kelly, Bob Diaco and Kerry Cooks from Notre Dame visit to Noah Spence (@nspence94)

Pretty tough school to get into grade wise. Can't see them wasting a visit if he didn't have the grades. Notre Dame only accepts 27% of all qualified applicants.
