Re: 2010 REDS
I know this will sound ridiculous because Oswalt is a pro's pro, but I wondered out loud if perhaps with all the demands to be traded if he hasnt already checked out mentally. I dont care how good an athlete is; if his mind is somewhere else I doubt that he is good enough to overcome that. The Reds...

Re: Chillicothe's Head Coach's Name?
Amanda's new coach is Dale Olney. He has been with Clearcreek for 12 years and has most recently been their defensive coordnator. They went 11-1 last season and according to eitel's website, i believe they had 5 shutouts. Ron Hinton had been at Clearcreek for almost 30 years and had about 280 wins a...

Re: 2010 Open/Bye Weeks
Bait, some of these schools are either small private schools or former schools who still have a competing team. In the case of Landmark Christian, I dont think they are a school anymore, but the kids that still compete on that team are kids who are primarily home schooled, who either live in the are...

Re: Division IV: Region 15
Last years defending champion, Coshocton, lost their head coach and several key members of their team. However, the Redskins are the champs and will be tough to deal with. How about Ironton and Portsmouth play two times in 2010? Once in week 10 and once in week 13? How sweet would that be? OHSAA wou...

Sorry Bait, but I divorced the Bengals three years ago. I waited for Mike Brown to die or sell the franchise, but he didnt do either. He made a mockery of what his dad built. The Bengals are useless thugs.

Re: Ironton Schedule
The Improved Schedule, which has a lot more info about the games and teams, is now on Irontonfootball.com Here Something I'm puzzled about...did Ironton elect to do a two in a row at Jackson this year? we played there last year but OHSAA says we're headed back there again this year. Mistake? The Ja...

Re: State Championship Games
I personally think the biggest monkey wrench in the plans this time around against Canton/Massillon was THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY getting their paws in the mix. Anytime an entity that big gets involved they usually get their way even when it's not in the best interest of most of the people involved...

GAHS: Good post. I have to think with the number of folks whining about location, the crowds will be huge, now that travel wont be bad. By the way, speaking of travel, I hope noone is planning on eatting between games. if so, bring your own or pay out the nose in the stadium. Like I have said, I wil...

Re: State Championship Games
Columbus is a soccer town? that's too funny! It sounds like something a Michigan fan would utter! How much time have you spent in the biggest melting pot city West of New York and east of the Rockies? Probably very little. The Columbus Crew a decade or more ago, made the town into a soccer town. So...

Re: State Championship Games
actually, right now the best football is probably played in North west to south west Ohio. Columbus, outside of being where the Buckeyes actually play, is not a football town. Yes Hilliard has a couple of titles, however Columbus is a soccer town. Nothing wrong with that. The attendance will increas...

So will it be unfair in 2014 when Hilliard travels 10 minutes to the game?

Re: OHSAA Subcomittee to make decision today
I was glad to see that Stark County will still host for the next 4 years, counting this season. The only way OSU keeps the games is if they give the facility for free to the OHSAA. I cant wait to pay $20 for a hot dog and a coke at OSU. LOL.

Shorter drive for me, but I am sure the experience will be lessened as well. No doubt someone is taking a bath for the first few years. No way Stark County can be out hosted. Great people.

Re: 2010 REDS
I dont have a problem with Bruce in the lineup. His defense is awesome. I would just move him down to 7th or 8th. Rolen being hurt is going to hurt, if he is out for any time at all
