Re: ALL TVC???
Rider is a no doubter for Defensive Player of the Year ! Having seen all the TVC Ohio teams at least once, no one impacted the game defensively as much as he did. Offensively , what were Arnold's and Harris' performances like in their key games? Cunningham up staged Arnold vs. Athens and Harris thr...

Re: TVC-Ohio Athens (6-0) @ Wellston (2-4)
As said before, this is a classic trap game! Athens has been able to focus on the job at hand so far this season and I foresee that continuing. Coach Adams displays a blue collar mentality in his coaching (just like he did as a player) and that is evident in his players. You don't see his players ge...

Saturday Morning JV Games?
What ever happened to Saturday morning junior varsity football games?
What are the Pros & Cons of Sat. vs Mon.?
Also, how are some of the jv teams around the area (especially TVC teams) doing?

Re: WK6 (5-0, 1-0) Alexander @ (5-0, 2-0) Athens TVC-Ohio
What a great experience for these young men! To come into a stadium and play a cross-county team with both teams undefeated . . . wow! And to think one of these teams will walk away with the potential opportunity to do it again within a week or two. I look forward to seeing a great game and hope the...

Re: WK4 Meigs @ Athens TVC-Ohio Game
I think this one is going to boil down to whether Athens' D-line and stunt package can apply enough pressure to help the secondary out. Well throws an outstanding ball, especially fades that will make it tough for Athens' secondary to cover unless they spend some time in cover 2. Stanley and Germano...

9/11 Tribute
I hope that schools throughout Southeastern Ohio (Nation wide actually) take time tonight to pay tribute to the lives that were lost on 9-11, all the the brave soldiers' lives lost, and for the soldiers that continue to fight to preserve our freefom. Freedom is not free! God bless all their souls an...

Looking for suggestion on a place to eat in Gallipolis . . . local type of place . . . not a chain. Address would help!? Thanks.
Re: Coaching
If you are enrolled in a college or university that has football . . . you may try to find out about being a student manager; great way to get you foot in the door and be around a lot of football instruction. It will also give the coaches a chance to know you and come graduate school time they might...

I also would have to agree with Jonathon Eaton and Matt Miller from Wheelersburg; as well as D.R. Robinson from Waverly.

Re: WK 10 Wahama WV @ Athens
Outstanding Performance by the Seniors! They definitely left it on the field last night! Tope ran like a man on a mission; especially after the "fine" spot on the Wahama punt. Sweeney was a hammer. Summers made some nice catches . . . overal team performance. Underclassmen, from this day u...

Re: Playoffs D4 R15 (8-2)Meigs @ (9-1) New Lex
No one deserves this opportunity more than Coach Chancey. He is a class act that is deeply under appreciated at his alma mater. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to a program that most schools would die for.

Re: WK 10 Wahama WV @ Athens
"SE Ohio and WV are very comparable."
That's a fair statement, I'll give you that one.
Is WVa on week 10 as well or are they a week behind us? I know that use to create some issues as far as computer points.

Re: WK 10 Wahama WV @ Athens
Comparing Ohio football to WVa. football is like comparing the Mountain West to the SEC! Big difference (not in style, but quality). Why do you think Ohio is recruited so hard nationally. Take Parkersburg, WVa. for example (last year's big school state champ), they couldn't hold a candle to St. X, e...

Re: WK 10 Nelsonville-York (7-2, 5-0) @ Vinton Co (1-8, 0-5)
Congratulation on your TVC - Ohio Championship! Coach Boston will have his troops ready to play . . . no let down rolling into the playoffs! A solid first half will allow the Buckeyes to avoid any careless injuries that would dampen their playoff duration. I look forward to watching the Buckeyes hos...

Re: Week 9 Athens at Belpre
Athens will need to control Belpre's passing attack which can be decent at times, especially when they go twins to both sides. Sweeney needs to get the 'D' playing with intensity and passion putting pressure on the QB, and the secondary must play sound football and communicate. Reading route progres...

Re: WK 8 Athens @ Nelsonville-York
Heck of a ball game! Both teams played their hearts out and unfortunately only one team can win. I'm anxious to see the stats. Bottom line . . . stats don't win games . . . points do . . . and turnovers will kill you.
Best of luck to both teams next week!

Humbleness / Pride / Class / Dignity Four words that are often overlooked as attributes of athletes . . . whether great or last man on the depth chart. How often do (or did) you hear Bret Favre, Peyton Manning, Reggie Bush, or Walter Payton talk themselves or their teams up and the opponent down (ak...

The two don't always lend themselves to each other. They both played with tremendous intensity and p...
