Re: Western Pike at Clay 01-26-10

Western by 10. With the Starting Point Guard suspended its going to really hurt clay. With clay already hurting for lack of ballhandlers and with their best out; i don't see the turnover problem going away.

Re: Public vs. Private - one more time

Webster was picked to win it before anyone knew about waginger. Plus we were winning tournament games by massive margins 30 and 40 plus. Waginger wasn't scoring 30 and 40. I just want to say we shouldn't caudil are kids and make it easier just to win state champs. That all people are doing. Handica...

Re: Public vs. Private - one more time

^^^^^^^^Yes it is. The parents of private school children are DOUBLE DIPPED! They pay for the public schools in the form of property taxes (which do not benefit privates) and then they pay for the privates in the form of tuition. Much talk in recent years has produced no action concerning vouchers ...

Re: In Your Opinion...Defense or Offense

A team can score 100 points in a ballgame, but still lose. A team can play defense against the other team and prevent the other team from scoring. Our team can tie the other team, but our team can't lose the game. Defense wins championships. There is no tie in Basketball? Bottom line is, if you can...

Re: Western pike 63 Clay 60 ... 12-18-09

I would agree that changing a few things would maybe make Clay a little better and it's easy to sit in the stands and chastise, but I honestly don't see all the talent you guys say you have. I'm not on here to bash the kids, but really see clay as a bottom tier team in the SOC this year. JMO. I don...

Re: Symmes Valley @ Clay 01-05-10

SV by ten. The full court press is tough. That is what kept them in the game with Rock Hill. Sammy Cook is what hurt them in that game. Clay's coach has been to two of the Vikings last three games and I am sure he will be considering ways to get past the Viking press with as few turnovers as possib...

Re: Newboston at Clay 12-11-09

I am not sure why you all are always on your coach. Not saying that he makes all the right decions, but what coach does. Supporting the coach should be the first step in making the program more successful. From the outside looking in, Clay is not all that talented, contrary to what people from Clay...

And that guard adds somemore height to the team. I don't know but i see alot of teams having matchup problems with all that height. Does that make 5 kids 6 ft or taller?

Re: 2009-2010 Clay basketball

There are some good camps around the area that would help as well. As for Clay's courts, the two I know of are in rough shape. The middle school play ground is cracked and uneven. The court at to pool was just cleaned up a bit, but it was done by a private citizen who raised the money with a couple...

Re: 2009-2010 Clay basketball

I agree with all but the "get another coach and results will be the same". That is saying the coach has no affect on the outcome of the game. It could be worse, or it could be better. That is why so many teams change coaches. [It wouldn't be fair to say, we have this group of boys and no ...

Re: 2009-2010 Clay basketball

Can we please quit dogging the Coach all the time. Sometimes its the players that miss the shots, turn the ball over, and don't play defense. That saying clay should be pretty good next with the returning cast and also all the players who graduated this past year. if we play a run n gun offense and ...
