My beef with competitive tackle football is practices are 1.5-2 hours long and half of it ends up being the whole team standing around learning/walking through plays. It can end up being very boring for a lot of kids.

16 is a lot, but now we are back to teams scheduling to get to 7 or 8 wins instead of the toughest possible schedule. Nothing wrong with either but 6-4 vs a difficult schedule and you are possibly out.

Im sure fairland and Gallia wont miss the drive to Portsmouth on weeknights. Ironton 5 (FB independent) Gallia academy 4 Fairland 5 South Point 5 Coal Grove 5 Chesapeake 6 Rock Hill 6 -Potentials-some of these would have to join together to make sense. River Valley 5 Oak Hill 5 Wellston 5 SV 7 SG 7 ...

Portsmouth just wasnt competive. In 8 years(?) how many ovc championships did they have? Im betting 3 or less in all sports combined. RV wasnt competitive either.
