Im calling a win by Southern. A close game, but i see Harris opening the season with a big game. Roberts averaged nearly 20pts a game in the first couple of weeks of the season. He slowed a little at the end, but Eastern will have to be ready for a motivated Southern team.

Trimble has alot of returning starters and senior leadership, but Southern will start 4 seniors, and have 3 more players that played alot of varsity minutes last year, two of them started alot of games.

The TVC will definatley come down to the cross county rivialry between Southern and Eastern. I believe the games are the first and the last games for Southern. I dont know about Easterns schedule. Yeah when did Trimble get better than Southern. Im pretty sure that Southern beat Trimble last year. Correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that im not wrong.

Nice pt s&w7. If Brauer can step up and have a big year, Southern will have a great year. No one will be able to stop them, with great guard play and a force in the post, Southern could easily go to regionals.

Kyle Goode will be great in the 3200. He set the new record at Southern for XC. He broke his won record at least twice and maybe more than that. He will be good during track season.

Midrange you must not know alot about Southerns team, Brown is the starter and Reese comes in off the bench. Reese is good, but Brown is the senior.

Trimble didn't run up the score. Trimble could have made it 100 to 0 if they wanted. Eastern will be fine. Lynch will be ready by baseball. Hes taking some time for basketball. He will be ready by the middle of basketball season. I dont know if he will be ready to catch. But Griffin is a very solid catcher, they will miss him at short but he akes up with it behind the plate. Eastern...

I also agree with s&w 7. Southern will go as far as the pitching goes. The defense will be strong, the offense will play small ball. They'll be a strong team this year, if the pitching steps up.

Brown could have a great season. Hes quick and can be very physically. There is some doubts about his knee. I think he will be ready and make to the old Brown, if Roberts steps up and becomes the leader that he can be, and Harris can get the 3-point game going Southern should win Districts easy.

That jr high team was dominated by 8th graders that graduated last year, most of the seniors this year werent a major factor then, and the ones that were didnt play the same position that they play in high school. I think Southern will be tough this year...with Roberts, Brown, Harris, and they have height in John Brauer, hes about 6 foot 6...and he has improved alot...they should be a good team...looking for them to win TVC...opening up with Eastern at home..should be a great game

Its going to be a tough game for Southern..I dont give them much of a chance...but the are a good bunch of kids led by Manuel.....they'll come out ready to play but it just wont be enough in the end....but i'll still be rooting for them
