Re: G.O.W. WK9 Ironton @ Gallia Academy (OVC Chip)

I believe it is open parking, but it tends to fill up pretty quick. Folks make it down there as early as 4-4:30 for tailgating and whatnot, so if you want one of those spots, you better get there early!

Re: WK9 Southern @ Trimble

He hasn't even finished a full second year as a head coach. I don't have an ounce of concern for what his future will hold as a coach. However, I am concerned that the JR high hasn't won a game and the past 2-3 years they have struggled to have a team all together. We will soon be seeing that hit th...

I’m not that confident that’s a hard place to play.
Guess i been giving waterford to much credit.
Waterford down 14 while gassing up the bus

Somehow Southern lost two of those guaranteed points!

Re: WK9 Southern @ Trimble

Southern has the athletes, but no coaching! Coaches lost the Eastern game last year for Southern! Wilford is not very good at what he does, bottomline We can agree to disagree on the the coaching aspect. But what Coach Wilford does, is far more than coach the x's and O's. I have witnessed him at ne...

Re: G.O.W. WK9 Ironton @ Gallia Academy (OVC Chip)

I actually believe this game could come down to a kicking game. Gallia has Andrew Toler, if you haven't payed attention, this kid is the real deal. Potentially having nasty field conditions, field position could really impact how things go. If Toler can pin Ironton deep in their own territory each ...

Re: WK9 Southern @ Trimble

Trimble will pick the score and there won't be a darn thing Southern can do about it. Southern is not very good. Early part of schedule is soft, and bottom half of TVC Hocking is pitiful.

Re: Where have the old posters gone ?

I first started this site back in high school, 2006ish. But when I went to college, I kind of lost touch with the site. Now that I have moved back in the area, I was happy to find that the site was still going!

Re: Best Coaching Staff in SEO?

I don't disagree with anyone's suggestions. I believe all that have been mentioned are the best in their own right. I am going to go a slightly different route with my selection however. I believe Coach Cassidy Wilford, at Southern is doing a great job. Second year head coach of a team that is histo...

Re: Eastern/Southern hype 2019

Eastern has a solid running game. Southern has a pitiful run defense. I am willing to guess Eastern gets a ton of yards on the ground and scores a lot, and Southern will get a lot of yards through the air, and scores a lot. I could see this coming down to a special teams play that makes the differen...

Re: Waterford(5-2) @ Southern(5-2)

Southern needs to find some defense if they want any chance of beating Waterford. Ravenswood is no powerhouse, and Southern could not stop them. If I understand it right, had Ravenswood not had one of their best ball carriers get hurt during the game, it probably would have been a much more lopsided...

Re: Gallia Academy - Coal Grove

Might be improved, but GA will still be too much. I expect the game to be approaching the running clock type of score mid-third quarter. If Penrod plays some second string guys, we won't see a running clock. If he waits till the 4th to get them in, we will see that clock rolling for a while.

Re: TVC Restructuring

I do know for a fact that Marietta has been meeting with TVC-Ohio principals and superintendents to discuss joining the TVC. Marietta has been visiting the schools in the TVC-Ohio for at least the past few weeks now. So there is some sort of truth to adding teams. I don't see Gallia leaving the OVC....

Re: Federal Hocking Cancels Season

Read an article talking about Fed cancelling their season. In it, it stated that Trimble has offered to have senior athletes from FH come to Trimble on senior night to be recognized. I have to admit, thats a class act. Whoever came up with that, deserves a round of applause.
