In their base 3-5, the down-lineman are not D ends and do not have contain responsibilities. Whether you like that or not is a different story and discussion. They are supposed to get penetration and occupy.

Why in the world is the OHSAA letting 16 teams in per region this year? I can understand doing that during the pandemic, but there was no pressing risk of missing games when the season began, and I don't recall hearing any games cancelled so far. I guess the answer is money, because calling 16 teams...

I see 2, maybe 3 wins left on the schedule for the Tigers, and this isn't one of them.

I haven’t seen either team this year, but I have a hard time believing anybody is “handling” anybody tonight. I love watching my little cheerleader as we travel to Johnstown, but I pray my signal is good so I can watch some of this one, too! This game is what it’s all about!

I know Johnstown has a great program historically, but what do they have this year? The Tigers were on the ropes last week, but utilized some mistakes made by Miami Trace to steal one. I wouldn't expect an experienced winner like Johnstown to be so charitable. Do the Tigers have a chance on the road?

Portsmouth West in 89 was just as good. Lost to Burg on a missed extra point 20-21 West was really good that year but I think Burgs 2017 would handle both rather easily. Proud of the Tigers! Anybody who can say they made it to the final 4 in anything can be proud and they are indeed in rare air. I will miss these seniors a whole bunch…great players and kids.
