Re: Gallia Week 11?
This Fighting Tiger wishes only the best for the Blue Devils and their continued success. Winning the OVC and hosting in week 11 is a big boost to their program. Hey loganlocos, did you notice today marks 10 years since you joined SEOPREPS?

Re: Gallia Academy 36 Ironton 33
Let us not forget that 4-6 record last year was largely a result of key players being injured over a period of several weeks. Not making excuses, just stating the obvious. There is an attitude change at IHS and that was much needed. However, I have not seen any change in penalties, fumbles etc this ...

Re: Parker a call from Urban
All this talk about Parker going on to the next level, more talk on not being able to make the grades and others saying that he needs to leave Portsmouth. What if he only wants to play ball with his friends and could not care less about going to college? He's still a teenager. Urban recognized his t...

Re: Gallia Academy 36 Ironton 33
Congratulations to the Blue Devils. You went into the Tank with a mission and succeeded. It wasn't stolen and it wasn't handed to you. You won it. You deserve the Championship. I hope you you carry this success into the playoffs and represent SEO well. Keep your head up Tigers. You can still make th...

Re: Hypothetical question?
Success one year does not translate to success the following year or beyond. Talent and ability changes from year to year. Continuity in a head coach is important but even assistants come and go. Getting the right players into the right positions is crucial. Injuries decimated the Tigers last year. ...

Re: Parker a call from Urban
Why in the world would anybody put down an opportunity for an athlete, regardless of the sport, from this area? Your opinions mean nothing unless you have Urban's ear. He apparently is interested in what has seen or he wouldn't have contacted him personally. That alone says a lot.

Re: Parker a call from Urban
Good for Parker. Hope more SEO players get the recognition they deserve. Even if things don't come to fruition with OSU. just Urban's personal interest alone in Parker may turn other D1 coaches eyes his way. Back in 1982, Woody Hayes was asked to speak with the Ironton players the night before the S...

Re: WK #9 GALLIPOLIS (7-1) @ IRONTON (6-2)
I'm taking Gallia by a score. Maybe two. Close for three quarters, but Armstrong breaks a big one late and tames the Tigers. GA 33-20 Campbell is the big runner in this one. Hoping for an injury free game. Two of the top 6 or 7 teams in SEO going at it. The Four Headed Monster moves to 8-1 on the y...

Re: SEOAL demise: Good or bad for modern era former teams?
I don't think that the SEOAL will ever be re-formed. Ironton gets too many playoff points by playing KY teams within 5 miles of the school. Still would like to see the Tigers play the Ironmen from time to time. We beat Jackson in the last game of the season 7-0 in 1979. The winner of that game made ...

SEOAL demise: Good or bad for modern era former teams?
My first experience with the SEOAL began in the early '70's as a young Tiger fan before becoming a player. I lost touch with the SEOAL in th '80's but it seems to me that Ironton, Jackson, Athens, Gallipolis, Waverly and Logan continued their success outside the league. I know Logan has fallen on so...

Re: WK #9 GALLIPOLIS (7-1) @ IRONTON (6-2)
Ironton 248 137 points. They average 31 and give up 17 a game. Ironton is physical Gallia 329 151 points. They average 41 and give up 18 a game. Gallia is not physical Power vs finesse, at the tank, handled Gallia at the preview and Ironton hits so hard you feel it in your bones. It's a no brainer ...

Re: massillon football
Should have had JVs or Freshman team in game before it got to that score. If they had 91 in the 1st half they must have kicked a FG in the 2nd half to get to 101.Who does that beside them? Just wait till they play my Alma Mater Canton McKinley in two weeks and see if they can do that. Why do you eve...

Poor sportsmanship on their part if you ask me. Running up the score like that proves nothing. I hope Canton McKinley knocks them on their behinds. Would serve them right. I played at AU with a McKinley Alum. Heck of a linebacker.

Re: WEEK 8 -- 4-3 COAL GROVE @ 5-2 IRONTON -- BORDER WAR SPECIAL
Hornets should have gone for 2 when they had 12 points. They lost momentum after that missed kick. Another battle between the two teams as expected.
