Re: Week 3 Western Brown @ Waverly
Western Brown is D2, with losses to Hillsboro and Franklin. The boys from Mt Orab roll 35-10 in this one. Waverly is simply short on numbers and experience for 2010. The Tigers may well be shell shocked by the beating they recieved last week from the Ironmen, but will put forth a good effort but fal...

Re: 2010 OSU Buckeyes
"We wont have to beat anyone twice. We would beat whoever is in our division of the conference and then beat the winner of the other division to win it all." I believe that once Nebraska joins the conference, a Big Ten member will play everyone in its football division plus play select tea...

Re: Alabama #1, Ohio State #2 In Preseason Coaches Poll
Back to the subject of the poll, a poll this early has little validity. A popularity contest based on past reputation. Realisticaly, the Big Ten champ, whoever that may be, will likely have two losses and be ranked somewhere between 6th to 10th.

Re: Doc kicks 3 freshman off Herd Football Team
If doc starts recruiting a few players locally he might not have such a discipline problem, go outside of a 150 mile radius and you tend to get a bunch of thugs. Good for Coach Doc that he is concerned about character rather than just winning football games, Realisticaly though, D-1 talent is scarc...

Re: SOC 2 2010
"your tigers will be 3-7 at best. Remember what happened at West last year. That is going to happen again" Waverly might escape the first four games with two wins, but I am afraid that they will be subject to a physical beating at the hands of Paul Blazer, which will cause another collapse...

Re: Buckeye fans, cross your fingers...
As an old greybeard alum, I wish to say it is not so but honestly pay for play has been going at OSU in one form or the other even before Woody's tenure. The fact that all schools are guilty to some degree does not justify bending the rules. The sportswriters covering the SEC are betting on ineligib...

The Burg has had a phenominal run for 40 seasons.
Coaching, talent, community support ? Or a rare combination
of all three. I do not see why it will not continue.

Re: ROSE BOWL OHIO STATE Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks
Do not mean to rag on the Bucks, they are a solid defensive team and are definitely a top twenty five caliber squad.
The difference between OSU and the Ducks is that Oregon will play to win, OSU will play not to lose. The latter works in the Big Ten, not elsewhere.

Re: ROSE BOWL OHIO STATE Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks
I sense Oregon will surge late and win big 38-17. Playing not to lose does in the Bucks again against a quality non Big Ten opponent.
Is it the Tressell system or is Ohio State's supposed quality talent
actually over rated?
