The best pure shooters to ever play at Ironton were Ralph Snead, Charlie Kitchen and Dennis Gagai.. The best long range deep shooters were Gagai and Kitchen

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week 2
Here's my top 8 for each Division so far: D2: 1.) Gallia Academy 2.) Miami Trace 3.) Fairfield Union 4.) New Lexington (keep an eye on them) 5.) Washington Court House 6.) Sheridan 7.) Vinton County 8.) Warren D2 is absolutely loaded this year. Logan Elm and Alexander are my next two teams to watch...

Re: How about them Pointers I don’t see any post about the game last night.
Whether South Point beats Gallia Academy or not - the Pointers ARE good - good size, good shooters, good D ... there's a lot to like about the 2022-23 edition of the Pointers ... I watched (via video) both the "L" to the Peake at SP and the South Point "W" at Fairland ... 2 diff...

Re: Carrico lost in the sauce in Columbus?
If Carrico would leave OSU, it should be to go to another major college. I would say Carrico is smart enough to check out other Big Ten schools to see if they can use a LB. If I were him, I would wait to see if any LBs leave OSU and then see where he stands. Personally, from watching Carrico when h...

Re: Ironton needs out of OVC (in football)
If Ironton wants to compete for state championships they need to get out of the OVC asap and go independent (in football). Every season in the OVC they have at least 4, sometimes 5 blowout wins. What does that do for your team?! They need to face teams that actually challenge them and prepare them ...

Re: Ironton vs South Range - D5 State Championship
100% agree, but this is not new info. Coldwater decimated Burg in the state semis by beating them on the lines, and this was 2015. Two years later, Burg won the state thanks to their incredible DL play; their front seven looked like what you would see in NEO/MAC. So knowing this, why has Ironton an...

Re: Ironton fans trying to run long time sportswriter out of town
Let’s not forget that the writer coaches at Rock Hill, hasn’t attended an Ironton game not involving Rock Hill in years, and openly hates the Ironton staff. That’s important context. Probably sick of all the staffs recruiting, just like everyone in the area. Can’t coach, just go recruit more talent...

D1 Commits
Committed or not a kid isn't a D1 player or any other level until he signs his name on the dotted line. That hasn't been done yet around here yet this season.

Re: Ironton vs South Range - D5 State Championship
Burg has a competitive balance of 20. They have transfers also but lost anyway. Ironton has a CB rating of 24 so it's basically no different then wheelersburg. Both have about the same amount of transfers. PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT!!!!!!!!! Just shut up dipwad! You have no clue why Burg ha...

Re: Irontons Ground Game
Actually how many of the experts on here played a significant role on their high school team, college or every coached a high school game that can justify what you think any actual coach of a team should or should not be doing with their team. I know everyone has opinions but that doesn't justify wha...

Re: Irontons Ground Game
As far as Ironton leaving the OVC I seriously doubt they are going anywhere so all the schools wanting them to be gone just live with it. There will be more of the same next year as there was this year. All I can suggest is make your program better.

Re: Round 3- #5. Portsmouth West (11-1) Vs # 1. Ironton (12-0)
What is wrong with some of you? How many of you know Coach Pendleton personally? Some of you are just cry babies, jealous people, former coaches who lost your job, lose to Ironton over and over. How about all the summer days that he is working younger kids out for FREE, parents bringing their kids ...

Re: Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)
That Statistic is deceptive, though. Hall had a great first half against Ironton. Probably 150 of his 200 total yards came in the first half. Hall is legit. Big, strong, and very fast to boot. I really don’t know his size but he’s a runner that seems to be tougher to take down over time. More than ...

How does the league shape up for next season? Who loses what and who is returning for each team next Season? OVC Record in parenthesis **If I have any records wrong, I do apologize** I will start with our Hustlin' Hornets Fairland - (11-3) South Point - (10-4) Ironton - (8-6) Chesapeake - (8-6) Gal...
