jackson1: I try not to use the word "expectations" for high school kids, but yep...hopes were high after last year's team of mostly freshmen and sophomores went to Regionals. And that was before Kara Cayton decided to come home. But I think it' might take a little bit for the Jeeps to find...

Plenty of good places to eat for you Burgites in Lancaster. I suggest Glass City BBQ, BW3's, Chipotle or Rooster's for a pre/post-game bite to eat/drink. All of them are located on the main drag (Memorial Drive) in Lancaster. Good luck Friday night...this SOC fan will be rooting you on.*

gahs4ever: I made that comment without realizing Westfall was that much closer to Ashville than Waverly. I knew they were closer, but not 30 minutes closer...hence the EDIT saying Athens would've been best for this game all things considered. As for Teays Valley being a dump compared to Jackson's Al...

I figured it'd be Teays Valley or Circleville for this game (selfishly hoping for Teays as I live in Ashville). But Teays' field is currently in pretty good shape. A little wear in the middle, but what grass field doesn't this time of year? Seating however will be an issue for whichever team gets st...

South Webster Lady Jeeps 2007-08 edition

Sounds like this will be an exciting season for the Jeeps. Kara Cayton is back at Webster for her senior year, and along with sophomore Kayla Cook, will give the Lady Jeeps one of the best D4 backcourts in the state. With Sherman up front along with Queen and Puckett back, looks like another solid s...

Based on what I'm reading, it seems like Minford fans think they'll be better off without Cayton?? Don't see the logic in how losing your best player makes you better regardless of any so-called "baggage" associated with her. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.*

sendem: I've heard those same rumblings too all summer. Now, with Cayton at Webster, I would be surprised if she left. But who knows...stranger things have happened.*

falconflyer: you say that Cayton's a "great person," so why would you want to penalize HER by not granting her release just because her dad works in the Minford school system?? Regardless, she is still a resident of South Webster as she has been her entire life, so it's a moot point. Good ...

big-train: Minford's the loser in this? Webster lost Cayton TO MINFORD for junior high and three years of high school basketball. I think Minford has benefitted greatly from a kid born and raised in South Webster and whose family ALL graduated from Webster. And I seem to remember two Jeep boys baske...

I doubt Minford fans were questioning Cayton's loyalty when she left Webster for Minford in junior high. But if true, with Cayton and Cook in the same backcourt, Webster looks like a lock for Regionals, and has a great shot at even more.*
