Re: Kirtland vs Versailles
Sorry will I have to disagree, Eaton played varsity basketball the 2 nd half of the season as a freshmen but did not dress for football I don't think he dressed for football either. That was Ed's last year. In basketball I don't think Lovenguth let Eaton start playing until the tourney and they ups...

Re: Kirtland vs Versailles
Support at IHS and Burg is tremendous. Just look at state championship attendance records. Ironton and Burg travel well to support their teams. Right. I agree. So the talent is there for both. The support is there for both. Where is the deficiency at then? 👀 Coaching, specifically around the offens...

More than that for their coffers. $16 for adults and $13 for students.

Anyways back to game. I think Ironton wins this one. Prep is not going beat you with their passing. Limit their big running plays and they are done.

Re: Ironton v Harvest Prep
Do they dress Freshmen for Home Playoff Games? Because there wasn’t close to that number on the sidelines last night. Heath had way more kids than Ironton If freshmen make the playoff bench list, they get counted for competitive balance purposes. Otherwise, a freshman would have to play in a varsit...

They did the annual playoff team picture 2 weeks ago and from the picture I counted 59 kids. Ironton is lead in numbers by the Junior class with roughly 25 kids Do they dress Freshmen for Home Playoff Games? Because there wasn’t close to that number on the sidelines last night. Yes it does.Beergogglebluez wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 10:38 pm I think lattimore will play out of his mind against his former team. And Trojans have to stop creed, he’s a good back. But Portsmouth is playing good ball at the right time. I’d love to see the Trojans win but no matter what happens this game needs to be played every year.

I’m glad to see a Portsmouth vs wheelersburg game. I miss those games. I do too. Been some classics over the years. Congratulations Trojans!! Early weather forecast for next Friday. High 59 degrees and no rain. The Ed is going to be rocking! Glad to see a Wheelersburg/Portsmouth game again.

Re: October 20, 2023 Wheelersburg 35 - 7 Portsmouth West
That West number also includes freshmen. Yes it does. So another question. With these two schools of comparable sizes, why isn’t the participation higher for West? Few posts mentioned the “dad” led feeder systems at West. Some kids not playing in high school due to the sour taste left in their mont...

Re: October 20, 2023 Wheelersburg 35 - 7 Portsmouth West
So 70 versus 45. Burg’s state team was between 80-90 kids, I believe. This is a big reason Burg does so well in the SOC. A huge advantage! Imagine the impact if West added 25 kids to their roster! Also have to remember that 20-25 you see on Burg’s sidelines are Freshmen that are there just as a psy...

Re: October 20, 2023 Wheelersburg 35 - 7 Portsmouth West
West roster on MaxPreps shows 45. Porter Township must not update theirs? Backups usually get the 4th qtr, which isn’t much with a running clock. So 70 versus 45.
