There has been talk that the dab has decided because of the act testing date that there will be only 1 d2 race and 1 d3 race for each gender. The top 2 teams will be crowned district champions.

i have not found that in writing but if it is true it will be very different

Large race helps some teams and hurts others. A very crowded course also.

Anyone know how the D3 Girls Regional Qualifiers to Pickerington where determined? The East Districts gets 7 teams while the Southeast gets 6 and the Central only gets 4. Isn't the East the smallest district?

That's what I thought. The Southeast has 39 girls teams listed, They should be getting the most qualifiers in theory.
But both Central and Southeast have released their district race assignments and are following this model. The East has yet to release theirs.

Central Girls Regional Qualifiers (4 total teams) - Four teams and those individuals not on qualifying team who finish in the top 16 positions to the Regional Tournament Pickerington High School North.

Southeast Regional Qualifiers: Two (2) Boys Districts, Two (2) Girls Districts. ONE RACE will be run for boys
and ONE RACE for girls. Teams finishing first and second will be district champions. Teams finishing
third and fourth will be district runners-up. BOYS: Seven (7) Teams and any individual, not on a
qualifying team, who finishes in the first 28, will qualify to the Regional at Pickerington. GIRLS: Six (6)
Teams and any individual, not on a qualifying team, who finishes in the first 24, will qualify to the
Regional at Pickerington.

Remember...qualifiers are based off of the district count from the previous year. While the SE may have 39 girls teams listed, how many of those schools fielded full teams last year? That would be the determining factor.
