Whew...that's a big number. I'd guess I wouldn't have any varsity boys or girls, or Jr high boys....might still have my Jr high girls

I don't see how it won't affect them.

WOW $2 :122246 00 for each cross country runner, that is outrageous. 7 X 200 is more than the Wheelersburg CC budget is for the year.

Students playing West Union, Peebles and North Adams high school sports will have to come up with $200 per sport, while junior high athletes will pay $150 a sport.

How is Wheelersburg looking this year for cross country? Who will be tough in the district?

I've also been told that there is no cap.

So 2 kids that play in each season would have $1200 in costs. Often those schools have kids on the soccer or volleyball AND cross country.....wonder if those kids are charged extra?

For the first time ever Whiteoak is now pay to participate. $25 per kid per sport with $50 max per kid per year and $125 max per year for a family.....any kid on free or reduced lunch is exempt.

It appears that North Adams, West Union, Peebles, Manchester are barley fielding teams on the boys side.

North Adams appears to be way down after several pretty good seasons.

Is Manchester part of the pay to participate? I thought Manchester went on their own. I'm surprised those schools have as many as they do.

Without a doubt it has had some effect on the numbers, but like in most sports it really comes down to the coaching.

I understand North Adams lost a very good coach.

Who else are some of the top coaches in the league or area?

Fairfield Coaches are getting it done. Very strong High School and Jr High Boys programs. Should dominate the area for the next 5-6 years.
