SE District D3 Boys Pickerington Regional

Post by Ironman92 »

We'll see how much tougher Rio was Saturday compared to Cambridge. I think Kody Wolfe goes 2nd or 3rd and Michael Mangus goes 5th or 6th.

Fairfield looks to be about a 7th place team and their team state appearance streak will start next year IMO....I'll predict 5 straight state appearances as a team.

It'll be tough for any other SE District runners to get out...hopefully a few prove me wrong.

Good Luck to all.

Wolfe beat Kettlewell from Garaway this year at Tiffin and last year at Regional and State.

Mangus went 16:50 1st meet of the year at Pickerington and won by 20 seconds over a pretty good field.

I believe Wolfe wins in 2012 after being runner up to Gardner in 2011

Belpre Boys did beat Fredericktown, Fort Frye and Caldwell on 9/29 on the Pickerington Regional course.

The Cambridge probably runs at least 30-35 seconds fast compared to Pickerington.

I would predict Garaway and Liberty Union 1 and 2. Grandview Heights, Fredericktown, Mt. Giead, Belpre and Fairfield fighting for #3 and #4 spots

Anyone know why Wheelersburg didn't have their top runner at districts?

I think if Wheelersburg has Conley at close to full strength....they beat Belpre by a few points.

Tadlock from West Union and Hilderbrand from Fairfield have a good chance to make the top 16. Mangus is a lock.

Tadlock was second behind Mangus in SHL.

Hilderbrand was third @ Rio. Soccer season might interfere, FF is still active in Tournament action and he's one of the best players in the area.

Strahler from Waterford has a legitimate shot.

7-8 from from Cambridge and 3-4 each from Central & SE to make top 16.

Sistrunk from Belpre also ran 17:11 on 10/29 at Pickerington and could qualify

Fairfield 7th

Not bad!

Good job by Hildebrandt and the freshman from Belpre.
