cant stop this wrote:The Ironton boys 4 x 8 that took third at the leauge meet will only return 2 of the runners from that meet. Marc Carter only ran the 4 x 8 twice but one of those times was at league and he graduated. Justin Payne was a Sophmore last year and transfered to Symmes Valley. Reeves and Edens are the returners from that meet. Adam Stumbo ran in the 4 x 8 frequently through out the year and he is back. There are many people on the team that can step up and help the team. The team should be around 8:28 or 29 by the end of the year hopefully.

Just noticed that Carter wasn't listed as running in the league meet.

Edens,Reeves, Payne and Stumbo with a time of 8:32.32

Was there a last minute change and Cater ran?

Yea it was kind of a last minute decision. The coashes wanted to give us a chance to break the school record but it didn't happen.

I talked to Tyler Cox from Warren a week ago, and at Morgantown this summer during a pole vault clinic, he jumped 15'6". His goal is 16'. Hopefully he can go higher.

Have to watch that Cox doesn't vault out. I think that is what happen to Minnick last year. He was bombing and then coming near to the league meet he fell a little and didn't do well at the meet.

I think he'll get to 13 6 this season. There will be a good sized field event drop off overall, i think. Cant wait to get to some meets.

Cox and Minnick do other events and if the legs are not there someone might pumb one of them out for 2nd in the PV

Minnick will probably do --100m/200/ and a relay
Cox does the 110 and they might have him the the 300

Last years team left a lot of holes at Warren. It's hard to tell what Cox might be doing this year, I could see him in long jump or high jump, but most likely Riffey won't work Cox to death and will keep him in hurdles and PV.
