Gallia's girls, I am sure, will remain a force to contend with.

Weef will run low 4;20 or better. Roush and Richards from warren will be under 4:40.

Wiefrich is way above all in southeast ohio in 3200. Look for him to place high at state.

Marietta has a good freshman coming up that ran a 4:43 in the mile in 8th grade. Their 4x8 and and milers should be pretty good.

Yeah his name is Alex Wesel, he's a great runner, the whole Marietta team was great last year I believe someone had a number but I do remember at SEOAL's they only took three seventh graders, which shows how good that class was.

Alex ran some 4x8 races last year and he did a great job, with the help of (I believe) Presher, Grose*, Chalfant* which was undefeated in the event. Chalfant and Grose were two of the seventh graders who went to SEOAL's, Grose went but didn't run and Chalfant went and finished 2nd in the 800 and 4rth in thre 400 (seoal results)
This is just all off some programs i have.

I definitely think Marietta will probably be the favorite to win league this year. With that said, they were the favorite in cross country, and we know how that turned out.

Warren lost a lot off of last years team that got 3rd place at state. They return Cox and Roush from those who went to state. Cox will definitely be very good in pole vault this year. I look for Roush to challenge for the 800 and 1600. Wes Richards should grab 2nd in the 2 mile and do well in the mile as well. In the 4x800 i think Warren will again have a good team, but Marietta should be quicker if they run well. With that being said, Marietta will get big points out of Wief and Westbrook this year which will greatly help them.

After this year it will be interesting to see who has the best distance in the SEOAL as most of the talent from Warren over the past few years has worked its way out, and Marietta losing Wief after this year will make things even more of a shoot out next year.

If I remember right--If Logan's 300 hurdler hadn't fell last year the Chiefs would have finished 2nd (boys)--but then they were probably if for everyone

Marietta shouldn't have too much trouble in the longer races--they have a factory down there that put these type of runners out.

I look for the high jump to be the best thing to watch this season.
