I will admit that I am kind of biased on this, but. . . Josh Fogle of Eastern is a really good coach. He is young and really knows what he is doing. Only if he had a full team.

From another track coach...

I believe Fogle is a really good coach. He is also easy to get along with and he does a good job of getting us copies of the official results. He also runs smooth meets.

also at 2006 state championship had

Roudy Oliver and Amelinda Morengo in Pole Vault

I believe Coach Fogle of Eastern is a very good coach. When he gets talent that is willing to work, he gets them to rise to the top.

Very True.

If he was with a program that actually had kids willing to run Cross Country or Track, he would have great success.

I think he should be the next coach at Rio Grande.

No, but I am sure he has no more than 5 years left. I do not know his age, but it seems like coaches retire after they have coached for a certain amount if years. How long has he been at Rio?

He has been coaching for nearly 40 years or so he says. He also says he will be there forever. If he dose retire in 5 years I want the job.

Glenn Queen, who has helped the South Webster girls the last few years, is the brightest track mind I've ever encountered. But I think he'll be headed back to school and not coaching this year, though.

I agree that Josh Fogle is a great coach....he is just limited with the athletes that are willing to go out and put the time in to become a great runner. Although with the kids that have gone out and showed desire Josh Fogle has pushed them to be great athletes and runners. He has changed the track and field program at Eastern....only if he could get a decent sized team to show up to practice and not quit because they think it is too hard...

Isn't that, to some degree, true for all track and field coaches? It's not like we deliberately have poor and small programs.

Fogle is great, no doubt, but I think all track and field coaches make the best of what they have.
