meigs could send some runners to state this year. they already have returning senior that went to state as a junior catie wolfe. catie is an amazing runner and a great athlete. a possible boy could be jacob well who runs hurdles. jacob started late last year but runs like a true natural the boy can flat out jump. i look for him to have a tremendous year on the track.

Devan Soulsby made it to the state in 2007 in the 800 she did well in cross country this year and has been running since cross was over so look out for her possibly making it back.

If we are going on years past, Eastern has 2 returning Sr's that went to State as Freshman. But I don't think you can really rely on that, new year, new results.

I can see Bill McCulloch from NY going to state he has to be the fastest kid in Athens County!

Doesn't he run in the high 11s in the 100m?

McCulloch does have the fastest returning times in the 100m and 200m dashes from last year's league meet. Almost all of the 100 and 200 meter sprinters who scored at the league meet graduated last year. This may allow a freshman or two to step up and score some points.

Doesn't McCulloch also run a strip of the 4x100?

Bill Mccolloch is really good. The NY Boys are going to be a good bunch this year. Unfortunately the girls are not a big team this year. As of right now there is only 7 or 8 runners and maybe 5 or 6 throwers. only one sprinter/hurdler is back from last year hopefully some of the girls come back out.

Really why would you say that? It looks to me as if he choked during cross country at the regional meet.

I think Rhue from Athens is the best distance runner in the TVC. I was really surprised that Goode won the cross country title.

Yeah well i thought the same thing. But i guess when it's his senior year he really wanted to leave something behind so that Southern can see that they do have kids thats willing to put fourth the hard work and do the impossible. Not saying that it was an impossoble thing that he won i just don't think anyone seen it comming. Maybe he'll do the same in track but i dought it because i hear that Track is his off sport and that he would much rather run XC.
