Unbelievable accomplishment that very often goes unnoticed or at least with much less fan fare than other sports. With school being out, these kids often don’t get their just due. Good luck this coming week and go get it!

We have 2 this year at NY and one of them is a freshman. We have a lot of younger kids who will do well in the next few years.

Great first day for the SOC.

Northwest had Wamsley place in HJ, their 4x8 of Shope, Breech, Morrell, and Smith were runner up.

Gill from Burg placed in HJ

Valley had 2 throwers make podium in the shot put, Ryan Benjamin and Justin Moore

Many more chances to make the podium today!

On a side note, ex Valley stand out athlete, teacher, administrator, Keith Hickman, saw his son, Gabe, finish first in D1 in the shot put and 4th in the discus throw. Gave will be continuing his education and track and field career at Boston U in the fall. Congrats to them.

SE district had some serious studs that did great all the way through the state meet.

Greta Barker was outstanding. Girl from Crooksville dang near won the 100 meter dash is crazy to me. Loved watching her compete at regionals and state....she would finish and you could tell she even impressed herself. Such a big smile.

Pinkerton 3rd in the 3200

Smith...Shope were big time

Blake Rogers will be looking to follow the footsteps of Fullerton

Liv Kennedy 9th in the 400 and no one will out work her going into her senior season

Coal Grove the freshman girl

Whiteoak’s Lydia Kittner had never stepped onto a track in her life until February

Peyton Johnson might be the next Barker....and maybe a year earlier

So many others....love watching track
