Under normal circumstances, if Justin was the only Marietta wrestler in this weight class I would go with him, but in this case, I will go with Hupp.

Not a bad choice but I'm going to go with McDermitt from GA.. We will see Saturday, should be a good match up.

im not taking anything away from the marietta boys, i just have my opinion and it is that mcdermitt's style will give either hupp or hasley problems if they wrestle.. and he was also a state qualifier and placer as a freshman in WV.

To close to call from what I've seen but I can say that we were looking forward to the match with Justin Haisley until he got hurt. Over the years it's always been a great match as it was with Brandon Taylor from gallia when they were all at the same weight. I'm taking the wait and see road. :122245

I am very new to this so please advise and forgive if I am out of line but I can not find a McDermitt from Point Pleasant who was ever a placer at WV States. BTW I also believe Hulk Hogan can win 145.

I've not seem Mcdermitt wrestle but if he's a gallia wrestler and pt.before that I'm sure he's solid. Barr from jackson has wrestled Haisley on several occassions and it has always been a 1 or 2 point match with Haisley coming out on top. He also wrestled Brandon last year with some very good and close matches. Hupp's are well known but I've not seen this particular boy wrestle so can't really say. I do know that there are solid boys in the 145 lb class and any of them could beat the other on any given day. Yes I do have a favorite and I believe he is under estimated at 145. Barr is 25 and 2 on the season with the two losses coming early at 152 but it will still be a challenge for all of them.

Question: Can a wrestler wrestle a weight that they have not wrestled all year in league and sectionals as long as they make scratch weight?
