Possible updates...of course from a Bulldog perspective
Stalder at 152 is tough and getting more comfortable in the weight class...he beat Saunders from Gallia

Anderson at 160 for Athens beat both the Gallia and Warren guys in close matches. Didn't wrestle vs. Logan

Sweeney at 215 from Athens beat Gravely from Gallia and can't recall how he did vs. Marietta and Warren

Keener also improving. Can't recall how he did vs Marietta and Warren, but he pinned Gallia wrestler

gallia's team is young but looking to be strong the next couple of years gravley is just lacking experiance he wrestled in 8 th grade was hurt most of his freshman season .but is attending camps with my boy and a few others over the summer so he is really just geting his feet wet but he will be a force in the seoal before he is done

athens and chilli should be a dog fight in the league.. what chilli has is much better, but athens will have a full squad..
athens has been in tournaments with some of the same teams with chillicothe doing a little bit better ... however, smaller tournament leans toward a full squad

How they are seeded will make a big differance.

i think the seeds will be very clear cut in most weight classes... 112, 140, 145, 152 are about the only ones with any kind of depth to matter..
112 should be jax, chilli, marietta, athens
140 chilli, athens,
145 athens chilli
152 logan, warren, marietta, athens

where will seeds mean much???

athens should be seeded one at 103, 145, 171
chilli should be one at 140, 160, 189, 215, 285
athens should be seeded two at 125, 140, and 215
chillicothe should be 2 at 112, 130, 145

then it comes down to chilli sneaking a few in consi finals, where athens should have more there..
if chilli gets a few in conso finals they win, if not athens wins

Its not the clear cut weight classes that win you a title. Its were you place the kids that are not the #1 or #2 seed!

who has gerren lost to?
detty... gifford logan elm-state placer, zolman northmor (1 pt.)-4th in state, chatterton dixie(1 pt.)-district placer, neff miami trace(2pts) 2time sqer,
worst loss is by 1 pt to a district semifinalist

he took second at deno, losing to a guy who got 8th in state last year by only a couple points... i think he could be #1 at 140 this year in league

we have scrimmaged with greenview twice..once at beavercreek and once at their place... he is pretty good... his dad is a great guy.. i think he will place high this year...
how many wins outside of southeast ohio does he have???

his 10 point loss to the kid from chippewa wasnt a good one... i guess losing to the non district qualifier from lakewood isnt either.. who else has he lost to?

he beat lakewood's 140 something like 9-6 that was probably their best wrestler i used to be next door neighbors with his cousin

one more thing about 160, athens 160 beat gallia, warren, and marietta in close matches i think he should get 3rd or 4th if he wrestles the way he wrestled in the duals

pike is a great guy.. his dad coached against me when i was in hs in the late 80's/early 90's..
however, pike didnt get 8th in the state, he went 2 and out got stuck in the first round and lost 5-2 in first consi round
