D III Sectionals at NY

Post by tsracer91 »

Here is what I could find, please help me with weights, names and so on. These are in no order.

103- Border will be your champ here with 2nd between Efaw and Mcluaghlin

Border-Caldwell
Efaw-Waterford
Crislip-Belpre
Newland-Zant Trace
McLaughlin-NY

112- should be real tough. I will have to go with Reed and 2nd Leiwtin. You can't count out Law from Belpre. He has wrestled a tough schedule all year that will only make him better.

Reed-Waterford
Leiwtin-NY(sorry about spelling)
Law-Belpre
Zac Cline - Caldwell
Fairchild-Welston
Mumford-Crooksville
Schobelock-Paint Valley
Weisenberger-Zane Trace
Deeter-Trimble

119- This one is hard to pick, I would call this one a toss up between Crock, Moody, Dennis, and Lump. Each one of these kids has the ability to walk away with the title.

Wahller-Caldwell
Crock-Waterford
Dennis-Crooksville
Lump-Paint Valley
Moody-NY
Norman-Wellston

125- Border should win this weight with Hook at 2nd

Border-caldwell
Brown, Cupberson, or Owen-Waterford
Sprigg-Belpre
Paul-Crooksville
Webster-Trimble
McKinnes-Wellston
D. Hook-NY

130- this is going to be another class to watch, Hook, Miller, and Zinn at the top with the edge going to Hook, but Miller has the ability to shock everyone.

Haas-Caldwell
T. Packard-Belpre
Miller-Waterford
Zinn-Wellston
Ott-Paint Valley
Gorden-Trimble
Wilson-Zane Trace
Z. Hook-NY

135- Smathers should be the champ here with Tennant real close

Kirkbride-Caldwell
S. Crislip-Belpre
L. Smith-Waterford
Willis-Wellston
Tennant-Paint Valley
Smathers-Trimble
M. Boedecker

140- This should make for a great finals match between Boyd and Smith, I would give the edge to Smith[/color]

Boyd-Caldwell
J. Smith-Waterford
Alfman-Crooksville
Slucher-Wellston
Davis-Zane Trace

145- Not sure about this weight, Kerns looked good at his first tour., placing 4th behind Whitehead at Bealsville. That will be a good match to watch again.

Kerns-Waterford
Sprankle-Crooksville
Byler-Wellston
Whitehead-Trimble
Patrick-Zane Trace

152- I have know idea about this class. If Norway dropps to this class he is your champ.

Graham-Waterford
M. Fulk-Crooksville
Lemaster-Wellston
Hurley-Paint Valley
Graves-Zane Trace
Leasure-Caldwell

160- Packard has to be the top pick here, this kid is a monster on the mat. Shoul be a good finals match between him and Norway( if at this weight)

Todd-Caldwell
Packard-Belpre
Claypool-Crooksville
Wilburn-Wellston
Shiflett-Zane Trace
Norway-NY

171- Wiggers should walk thru this class( but I have been wrong before)

Wiggers-Belpre
Gussler-Crooksville
Kelly-Wellston
Joyce-Trimble
Penn-Zane Trace
Abbot-Caldwell

189- not sure about this class, I do know that Waterford's Bauerbach is getting alot better.

Bauerbach-Waterford
Stewart-Crooksville
Daily-Wellston
White-Paint Valley
Martin-Trimble
Flint-Zane Trace
Pickenpaugh-Caldwell

215- Not sure

D. Fulk-Crooksville
Kerr-Wellston
Coon-NY
Boney-Caldwell

285- Not sure

Zinn-Crooksville
Jones-Wellston
Taylor-Paint Valley
McLaughlin-Trimble
Zarley-NY
Schenkel-Caldwell

I am not sure Mclaughlin will even come close to Efaw. The edge to Hook? shoot Miller is the favorite he could definetley shock anyone. This is a good start on some names. Corey Lump probably best 119 and then Crock above the rest.

Davis from ZT at 140 has only 4 losses and placed 6th at District last year.
His losses are Rosch Canal Winchester, Land Valley View, split with Gierhart Amanda and Mcnichols East Knox

Those are some good predictions. I am on board with alot of those. I think as far as the kids in the TVC we will be better able to predict more after the TVC meet. You never know we may see kids drop to weight classes or move up weight classes. But from what has been seen as of late I think these are pretty good predictions.

I would throw Zarley N-Y out there at heavyweight he has been to practice the last 7 days in a row and is a senior who seems very focused. Put in Mcdaniel at 189 who dropped 20 pounds to make the cut and N-Y may battle for 6th. However Zach Hook will probably go 135 due to weight issues he wrestled 135 and 140 this past wednesday and only seems to be growing. Leitwein has been rabbit hunting and will finish this week with the hunts and should be at more practices. Mclaughlin and Moody was also up in weight it looks as Leitwein and Mclaughlin switch weight classes. However with the weather change we are able to practice more than last week. But with the new storm coming anything will change. We have purchased Canoes just in case the water rises.

Tric...Heck, just get 'em some sleeping bags and they can stay at the school (mats provide plenty of cushion). Then there's no worries to get them to practice. Since you have a lot of lightweights, there won't be worries about food. You have a key, so you could snitch some lunch lady food for the heavies. Showers and toilets down the hall. Tadaaaaa!!!

See, it's all worked-out...that's how we moms reason things...

lol! ;-)

Good luck to everyone during the final weeks. Those are the tough ones and why you've all done all this work through season (and off-season). :-D

Big one I am glad you hang on to hope at least you have that. Wellston finished 3rd in the TVC a smaller event 9 teams they will have a very hard time beating Caldwell and Nelsonville-York as this is a bigger event 17 teams. They would have a better chance in smaller tournaments than big events they probably are not deep enough. However they could have a couple champions 189, 215 and 285 should do well and Zinn 130 a possible champion So it is vert possible but I think Caldwell has too much.

Take the last two weeks for example and look at the point distances between the bigger tournaments and the smaller tournaments Wellston acctually finished behind waterford at the bigger Deno tournament. But then again you never know Les Delong does a great job and should have his kids ready to go. And from what I hear the Nelsonville-York coach has no Social skills and his kids may quit the team because he pushes them too hard. lol Good Luck to all the teams.
