I forgot about them that is the one team I have not seen many results on. I know they have a good lightweight around 119-125. I don't know much else about their line-up

Meadowbrook sectional only has 11 teams. No reason why Warren, Marietta and Meigs should NOT be there. Someone needs to look at a map once in a while before setting up these sectionals. Why have 11 in one and 18 in another, and have Warren, Meigs and Marietta haul kids half way across the state? Marietta and Warren could be in Byesville in less than an hour. Meigs a half an hour longer. Is there politics involved or just stupidity.

Kerr from Marietta at 112 will be in the top 3 seen him beat Dingess (Athens), Law (Belpre) and give Waterfords Reed all he had losing by 1 or 2 if I remember correctly. I could really see a Johnson (Logan Elm) vs. Kerr (Marietta) in the finals at 112.

Nate Hupp Marietta 135 wins that weight class. Had Nate last spring on my Hammers team and he is exactly that.

Marietta is the in Southeast District whose sectional is in Chillicothe. Meadowbrook sectional is part of the East District. That is the best explanation we get.

Maybe to be fair it should be in Marietta every other year and split up the travel.

Washington County schools are in the Southeast district, however all Washington COunty Officals are in the East. For many years sheridan, New Lex and others wenbt past Morgan to get to Warren for sectionals. Occasionally they do move a few teams to balance things out some. But the great gods at the Crystal Palace (OHSAA) in Columbus do not give the SouthEast any respect or consideration. The SouthEast should get to hold the Districts over here somewhere, last year the SE had more teams than the SouthWest. Remember you must have either 7 or 9 entered in the sect to be considered a team. So you can have 21 schools represented but only have 15 actual teams. And besides that Goshen is a serious expense for all the schools in the SE, Athens at the COnvo or Marietta COllege in the Dyson Bando would be great locations. I am sure that the local school with wrestling would pitch in and help whatever school got the host assignment. I know just dreaming.

It would be really nice if Warren and Marietta went in together to bid on the District to help each other out and hold it at Marietta College. The only problems are they charge an arm and a leg for the use of the facility. They don't see the benefit of bringing in 40-50 high schools to see their beautiful facility.

Between the two schools staffs and the "retired" staffs of both schools, it could be run very well and be a great experience for all schools. It make sense for us to go to Goshen this year and then they all make the trip over here the next.

Three mats and three rounds on firday. How absurd another late night for the DII schools at Chilli. There is a gym close by or beside the regular gym that could be utilized if need be couldn't they. Heard that only Chilli put in for it, but I know that Athens wanted it and didn't get a sniff at it. Warren could also hold this event nad has done so many times. Marietta is now DII and has the room to hold this event. I am sure there are other schools that have the facilities to do this as well. O'well, I guess you play the hand you are dealt. Good luck to all the SouthEast wrestlers.
Another thought, No brackets posted yet on Baum's page. The last time Athens held this event they had all weight classes posted by that evening. What gives???
