The information I'm hearing is that Miami Trace is no pushover. They have a real nice offensive line and very good running back. The QB is solid also. Several people believe Trace is better than Portsmouth.

It appears there is some misinformation floating around concerning the Panthers. Waverly better show up ready for a fight.

Hoping we can get a rain free evening. Looking forward to a big crowd and an excellent game. Go Tigers!!

From afar, this match up will tell us if the Tigers have reloaded or are in a bit of a rebuild. Just hoping for a competitive, injury free game with a rocking full house.

If you guys don’t win by several tds I’ll be shocked. They didn’t score a td vs us and we are a mid tier svc school.

I saw Miami Tace play twice last yeat and Waverly scrimmage Portsmouth, so this is from a very small sample size. I have no clue who MT brings back back from last year's squad, but the have a QB who can make some plays, but can also throw some ill-advised passes at times. There running backs runs hard and )-line does a decent job of blocking. Their defense was not very good vs. Jackson last year, better against a depleted Chiliicothe team.
At home and with the fans back I say it stays close for a while but Waverly has too mnay weapons Tigers by 14 at home.

That’s what I’m hearing as well. I believe Waverlys defense will be the key in this one - they need to show up BIG.
Tigers still with some guys out and a couple others nursing injuries but will play.

Ready to hear Futhey to Futhey for a touchdown a lot this Friday night but that will depend on how the offensive line has progressed. Along with how far the defense has come

Honestly any team that has almost 20 seniors really isn't in the middle of a rebuild, I get what you're saying but I think next year will be much more telling. Waverly has a lot of big contributors who are seniors and who have contributed off and on throughout, now obviously the QB spot might be the biggest question. However he's got Futhey, Stulley, Crabtree, Morrison and now add in the speedster Boles as the TE/WR positions I don't think any first year starter could ask for anything more than that. Next year is where the rebuild or reload questions will be more justified.

Great points GG! I think Coach Crabtree has given the Waverly program a sound footing now and for the future. Yet there is that lingering doubt of Waverly's past success being predicated on having an all star quarterback. Waverly fans are going to be entertained with the talent on hand going against a strong schedule.

Nice stats. 351 passing yards should answer the question about the qb

Very nice game for his first varsity start. TD pass to brother Will called back. Big pass play to Morrison called back or he would have been over 400 yards.
