107.7 pickem championship comes down to Eastern at Southern

Entering week 10 Mike Bishop has the lead on me by one game. All of the games had heavy favorites this week so the only game we picked different was Eastern at Southern. My only hope rests with the purple and gold so let's go TORNADOS!!!!!!!!

Let it be written let it be said, I wasn't in the picks in 2005. Bish won in 2006 and we were co-champs in 2007. I won in 2008 so after the Tornados crush the Eagles we will still be tied overall.

Wow I am glad Bish won. I get tired of hearing Martin run his mouth when he loses let alone when he wins. Some advice for next year, give the scores once in a while instead of every hour. I tune out after listening to you for 20 minutes ramble on. Startin to remind me of the Guru more every time I tune in.

I would have to agree. I tried to listen and I know other people in this area have said that there was to much talk of tailgates and food for so many long periods with no scores given, that it made it pointless to listen. As for the Guru comment, he may have been out there at times, but he gave scores every ten mins and he had a huge following and the show was on til 2am some Fridays for a reason.

Have to disagree with you on the Guru giving scores. I listened several times when he went rediculously long periods without giving them. One night it was over an hour. I know cause I timed it. I know he claimed to use the egg timer, but you could hear it go off, and he would say he had to give the scores, but then he would lose track of time and still not give them for long periods. This new guy is no different in that respect. I rarely tune in because of that. Then when I do, I get tired of hearing about cook offs, trivia and tailgates with no scores. Oh well, I guess I am not forced to listen. That is why I tune in to 92.7. They at least give some of the area scores while they are on the air anyway.

What I think started as a side bar activity that was meant as an attempt to generate listeners, ended up consuming the whole show. I could be wrong though. Maybe it was intended as it turned out. Personally, I would rather hear the scores, and maybe listen to people who are sent out to the games to give updates and game details, instead of tailgate details. But I could be in the minority on this, who knows?

The worst thing about the Guru was he would sometimes reverse the scores. One time it would be Caadwell over Shermandoah, but the next time it would be Shermandoah over Caadwell.

Knock him all you want...I miss all the butchered English language and his ugly face on a water bottle. While three or ten of you hated it, the majority loved it. As for the complaining about the tailgates, it is a part of football. Try it sometimes...you just might like it.

The 107.7 show is great with both Rusty and Jim. Like my mama always said, if you don't like it, turn it off.
