Byesville Meadowbrook at Lakewood scrimmage recap

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

Overall I think Lakewood had a small advantage.

Lakewood
The running game looks good for a first scrimmage.
The run defense held their own for the most part.
I was impressed with the way the coaching staff was vocal in teaching during each play when needed.

The pass defense was very soft and way behind the run defense.
The passing was not good but they did not throw very much.

The Lancers looked a lot better in this scrimmage than they did in the first one last year I.M.O.

MEADOWBROOK

I THINK IT WAS NUMBER 38 (RB) LOOKED GOOD.

They seemed to have a problem snapping the ball to the QB out of the shotgun and when they did the QB mishandled it a lot more than one would like.

The QB even when the passes were ugly was able to complete most of them.

Both teams had a few good hits and for a first scrimmage, I think they both played as well as they could have.

I think both will improve a lot by their next one.
