Well I'll be cheering for ND but they'll not win this one, especially with Carter in the backfield for GC. This was an awful idea. . . just a cheap way to score a victory for a pathetic excuse of a program in GC, IMO.
Shame, shame, shame. . . .

i cant belive you can leave a team and go to another one to play, in season thought it would be longer than a week.

Well like tobias said, it looks like a legit transfer - he lives there now and he's originally from there, anyhow.
Get ready to watch the best RB Coal Grove will face all year.

Tobias, if you are currently coaching at ND, I think your attempts of firing up the boys at ND are missing the boat. The kids and their parents read this, and although I understand reverse psychology, the kids may just back down instead of rise to the challenge if they think one of their own coaches thinks this about the game. Instead of stoking any fire they had to try and win this game you may have well put it out! You have them tarred and feathered before they step on the field.
BTW, I don't think ND should be playing this game either. GC already has the size advantage, I feel you just gave them the psychological one as well.
Prove me wrong boys!!! GO ND!!!

You should do your posting on Bluegrasspreps or return to the softball board.

instead of throwing negative comments out about me how about adding something to the discussion --have some co co nuts and throw out your prediction or opinion. Or just go back to lurking and shut up .

Testy?? not too much--just don't appreciate ch__sh__s taking shots at me while offering nothing on the topic being discussed. You think ND can hang ?--You think this was a smart move to schedule a school the size of Portsmouth or Chillicothe ? (i'm just guessing the ohio equal of what GC would be ) Then jump right right in and say so. Or just continue to lurk. quietly. :122249 MD

I'm a relative rookie to ohio --is Chilli a D-2 ? What are some close equivalents in ohio to compare to GC. in numbers ?

this is thad bowman, I played at Notre Dame and i trained with the football team this summer to get ready for college football, i dont care how big the kids from greenup county are. there is no strength and conditioning program better than notre dame's. so don't count notre dame out and keep all the negative comments to yourself because when i was a player i would get on here and read all the negative comments that adults would leave on here so let the kids play and quit putting people down

You can also add Emnett, Taylor, Glockner, July, Weems, Lewis, Grooms, Saab, Evans, Pendleton, Welsh, Hoover, Delabar, Stevens, Pierron, Malone, Noel, Born, Lauderback, Mader, Glockner, Lewis, and Sparks. This is a game where each and every boy will need to step up in some way or another. Thad, great post. You couldnt have said it any better. Go ND!!!!!!!!

Thad, nice post. I'm sure you remember your old buddy from Minford? But here's my take:
IMHO Notre Dame loses by three TD's. The conditioning may be good, but if Notre Dame can't hang for the first quarter, what does it matter? Greenup's too big. Like Tobias said, there's too much of a mismatch. I really hope my cuz doesn't get injured....

The bigger they are the harder they fall, all those ND players are brothers to me and if i know them like i think i do, they will give everything they've got no matter the outcome, i'll take my chances with notre dame. make me proud fellas and i'll see you guy week three at spartan stadium
