Everyone is pointing to this game, for Gallia Academy to get its first win. I say, not to fast. I think this will be a very close game. A hard fought game, between 2 schools that are hungry to prove theirselves.

I'd be surprised if they did beat Jackson, it's very possible, but I think Jackson is probably the better team.

Jackson's combined record is 4-0

Gallia Academy's combined record is 0-4

Jackson has defeated teams with a combined 5 wins

Gallia Academy has defeated teams with a combined 0 wins.

It's funny how those horrible teams we've beaten have alloted us the #2 position in region 12....the highest position of any SE district team.

have been impressed with the defense, seems the youth and inexperience caught up to them after the 1st half of the logan game. offensively they seem lost. we'll see this week about this team. i think they'll be playing with a chrip on their shoulders and get after kruize

our qb has a very strong line protecting him at all times, and a great supporting cast...just saw the grid iron show he was 16 for 20 for 224 yards 14 carries 64 yards thats great protection and blocking....

When Gallipolis and Jackson play, you can throw the records out the window. It's a huge rivalry game. This one is at Jackson this year, so I'll give a slight edge to Jackson.

Crazy things seem to happen in this game.

This will be one of the best chances for GAHS to get a win this year, but I think Jackson is certainly the favorite when considering wins over Waverly and Portsmouth.

If the Blue Devils are healthy it will be a great game. If not, Jackson should win by 2 scores.

Is it Apple Fest week? That could play a factor as well.

The fact that Gallia Academy is 0-4 right now means absolutely NOTHING on Friday night! They will come to Jackson and play the best game that they've played this season...there's no doubt in my mind.

GAHS has lost to some very good football teams and one great football team. They're not your typical 0-4 squad. I know they have had some injuries lately, but I expect them to be close to full strength when they visit Alumni Stadium.

I know it's Apple Festival week and that may lead to some distractions, but it shouldn't. Jackson has been on the wrong side of this rivalry in recent years, including last season when the Ironmen blew a 14 point lead TWICE, losing another heartbreaker to the Blue Devils. My advice to the Ironmen would be, remember that night. Remember how you felt. Make sure it DOES NOT happen again.

This is THE game. This rivalry means so much to both schools and the intensity level will be unbelievable on Friday. I want to see a focused Jackson football team for four quarters...and I want to see that team send GAHS back down the road with a loss! Get it done!!!

For all of those who want to see the "Wellston-Jackson" rivalry continued, this is a rivalry.

Gallia has some advantages in this contest. They have had recent success in the "rivalry". They have certainly played the stronger competition. It is Apple Week which will distract the ironmen players. They and the staff know well the strenghts and weaknesses of the jackson qb.

Jackson has some advantages. They are 4-0 and that alone is a good feeling. I am not sure how much was gained by the victories over Wellston and VC, but Jackson is currently second in their region. Jackson is at home.

When all is said and done Saturday morning Jackson will probably be 5-0.
