I can't see Caldwell winning tonight and next week. They might win one or the other. The two games that are pivotal are Coal Grove/Fairland and Liberty Union/W. Jefferson.

NY will get Division III first level points by beating Vinton County, as well as second level points from VC's one win - Belpre.

NY will get second-level points no matter who wins the Meigs vs. Belpre game, as NY defeated both.

Other second level points for NY that are possibilities:

I think Trimble will beat Miller.
I think Athens will beat Wahama.

Could go either way...
Wellston might upset Alexander, as Wellston only lost to Meigs by 4 points and Meigs beat Alexander.
Piketon/Westfall is a tossup, but Westfall should have the advantage since they will be at home.

Most likely no help from....
Berne Union will probably lose to Licking Heights.

NY needs to beat VC and hope there are no upsets with Trimble and Athens rolling next week. NY needs to become big cheerleaders for Wellston and Piketon next week! It would also be nice to see a huge upset with Berne Union beating Licking Heights, but that probably will not happen.

I have no idea how many of those things need to happen for the currently 7th seeded Buckeyes to make the playoffs, but that is what needs to happen none the less.

I'm sure PHS will play to win, but they have to go to Mt. Orab and face a decent D-2 team. If they don't win and the Pirates don't get in, I'm sure the trojans will not feel sorry for a team that hung 68 on them for no reason.

VASJ WINS over Bedford Chanel 41-13, so that gives the Pirates .4 points but does not change their standing in Region 19.

This is just my opinion so don't take this to the bank. I believe that this is how it will finish up.

1. Oak Hill 20.80
2. Fredericktown 20.55
3. Minford 20.55
4. Monroe Central 19.41
5. Coal Grove 19.05
6. Wheelersburg 18.95
7. Ridgewood 18.65
8. Caldwell 17.90
9. Nelsonville York 16.40
10. Liberty Union 16.25

If Liberty Union wins then it may look like this

1. Oak Hill 20.80
2. Fredericktown 20.55
3. Minford 20.55
4. Liberty Union 19.85
5. Monroe Central 19.41
6. Coal Grove 19.05
7. Wheelersburg 18.95
8. Ridgewood 18.65
9. Caldwell 17.90
10. Nelsonville York 16.40

If this were the case, there would be potential for some very nice match-ups in all four games!

If Minford loses to Valley and Ridgewood loses to Newsomerstown, Coal Grove could finish in the 4th spot and have a home playoff game.

A Liberty Union loss would help matters, too.

if you're right, does that have minford playing coal grove, and oak hill playing the burg?

That would be nice if that is how it played out. No one would really have very far to drive for any of the games. Would love to see the rematch between Minford and Burg. Would be a packed house for sure.

Yea it would be nice, but I HATE seeing two southern ohio teams face off so early. Much rather see it in the regional championship.

The onlly way that happens is if all 4 potential southern ohio teams win in the first round and then they play each other in round two and then the final two will play in the regional championship. In the second round they will always matchup the teams that are closest to each other. Example, Burg-Minford, CG-Oak Hill
