Hit Em Hard & Make Em S--t were the words of Herb Patterson of Sciotoville in the 1970's!

The post ....
I heard the same. This post was put up in the locker room. That created the needed fuel for the team.
The kids also did not buy into the Herb Patterson statement (interesting last name).
What added the flame was when it was relayed to the kids that the person making the comment was on the East HighSchool coaching staff.

The game ...
I thought Notre Dame kids played very hard --- the hardest they have played all year.
Each kid played I truly believe to their potential.

I was really impressed that the ND defense kept all of that speed and athleticism of East to 6 points.
Notre Dame coaches put together a good game plan on both offense and defense. They also made some very good half time adjustments --- scoring 18 points in the 2nd half.

East keep your heads up. I am sure we will have a game on our hands next year. It is not easy to go 9 - 1 , 10 -0 each year. You have a good program and supportive community.

See you in hoops season!

I cannot remeber how many fumbles East had that were lost --- I believe at least 3 if not 4 or 5.
Those fumbles were also caused by some very hard hitting Titans.

Father Patterson's words were true tonight: Hit Em Hard! Make Em Fumble!

First of all, I want to say that this is one of the best games that Ive seen the Titans play all year except maybe the Greenup County game. They came out fired up (thanks Axe n Shield) wanting this game and their playing showed that tonight. Both offense and defense stepped up .O-line, tremendous job. Couldnt be prouder of you all.Defense, way to hold them on every play. Great effort. The boys were fired up, tremendous fan support tonight. What a way to finish out the season. Sometimes our actions on the field speak louder than our mouths. Hold your heads up Titans. Tonight proved that if you want something bad enough, its yours. Congratulations on the sweet victory!!!!!

Axe n Shield needs to stay away from the East football program period. Hopefully the coaches will see he is a liability and do not need his "help" anymore...

I don't see axe and shield commenting on this topic after the final score? Nice job trying to stop Brock Hannah and his fellow comrads but i think hardwork and class beats classless cowards like axe n shield any day. Congrats to Brock Hannah passing for over 1,000 yards for the 2nd season in a row and the nasty defense of ND. But most importantly, Congrats to ND BEATING EAST and making all those sciotoville community cowards cry

Congratulations to the Notre Dame players and coaches on what must be a great milestone for the ND program. Well played and coached game!

As far as a coach making dis-tasteful comments or gestures on or off this forum... what would one call a certain tantrum that was made by the current ND Head Coach about two years ago at Symmes Valley? Screaming profanity across the field at the Symmes Valley Head Coach and calling him out from across the field for a fight! Also, making obscene hand gestures across the field at the opposing coaching staff!

Would you call the fans of ND classy... when they cheer this coach as he is being escorted off the field because of him being ejected for the above classy demonstration in front of fans, kids and the current church leadership? Is the ND community classy for continued support of this same coach even to date? After screaming profanity and vulgar words in front of your children!

I think I will officially retire the famous words of Herb Patterson, father of three children from Sciotoville. "Hit Em Hard & Make Em S--t!"

Out with old and in with a new saying for the week of Notre Dame!

Class from a Flask! See ya at Captain D's!

Heard this want-to-be coach "does not show up at practice, but
does shows up to run his mouth." [quote from East player. ]

just go crawl back under your rock . Or you could keep posting and embarrasing yourself, your community, your school and the young men you claim to have admiration for. Your last 2 efforts at either humor or intentional bashing were just low blow mono-brow type stuff . maybe someone in the axe family knew someone in the shield family ?

Your comments about Coach McKight are unfounded also. I walked the sidelines at the SV game you mentioned --no such thing happened --he got the boot for throwing his headset after arguing a call. It happened directly in front of me. And we all know no HS football uses a fould word occasionally ---Right ? you are a joke. MD

They could have a very good season next year...they did lose 5 seniors who all started...but they return 13 seniors who all to my knowledge started and played...including quarterback Brock Hannah, his favorite target Tyler Noel (a junior), Mark Evans who was injured most of this year, plenty of other players that could impact the game...it seems Notre Dame always finds a way, even with a less talented team to have a respectable record, this team could of easily been 2-8, but they almost got to the .500 mark with a young team, McKnight and that staff bring a winning mentality...

Next year, barring they lose no transfers, I think they could go 8-2 or 7-3, get a playoff birth, and finish second in the Soc (to the Oaks of course), they need a good year in the weight room, and to put a little bulk on those 150-160 pound guards (not discrediting them they play with heart), and see what happens

And I guess we are all to take your comments as the gospel because you are from the "Class in Flask" congregation! And, the fact that your a ND fan adds suspicion to your side of the story! I've seen many coaches throw headsets in a game and never get ejected from a game!

So, you dispute the fac that he never stood and called SV coaching staff out from across the field for a standoff? And, that he gave a certain hand gesture as well? And, that you and the rest of the ND fans cheered him on?

Maybe, just maybe! You might want to crawl back under your flask! You say this happened in front of you and I'm not saying you are a liar like you are to me but, maybe your vision was a little blurry or maybe experiencing double-vision!
