I love the list! Thanks for the time and effort you put into it.
Big Time stole my thunder, Im not calling Curt Clifford the coach of the year but he does deserve an honorable mention, after finishing a 1-9 season he brought the Trojans back to 7-3 and a one second field goial attempt away from a playoff berth! Great job Curt!

Locos, Good job..... I know how hard it is to pick an all-league team when there are players you have only seen play once or twice.. Jared Gravely, IMO, should have been given more credit, he was the best player on our team...... And thanks for not giving the coach of the year award to Lutz... He may be the winningest coach of all time but I will always remember the Sandusky Perkins game of a few years ago..... That is a game most I-town fans would like to forget...........LOL

Locus

As normal great job seen alot of these players this year GREAT JOB by all the players and coachs!!!! Also I would like to say the winner of the SEOAL is not the coach of the year? I like that alot in some leagues the league winner is coach of the year. I am glade the SEOAL does not do that.

All I can say is, GREAT JOB Locos! For those who question the Coach of the Year selections, let me say in no way would Locos go out of his way to slight anyone. Lutz and Amyx were dealing with full decks; they didn't HAVE TO do their best coaching jobs, though their results and body of work speak for themselves. It is refreshing to see coaches recognized for getting the most from their resources. Not to say Lutz and Amyx didn't do a masterful job; they did. But they are or will be in their respective school's Hall of Fame. I doubt their legacy is tarnished by being left off this particular list in this particualr year. Congratulations to all the individuals recognized here and on other lists. At the same time, let's all remember it is a team sport. So...congratulations and thanks to all the players who worked, sweated, sacrificed and stuck it out. You are the true winners!

i know locos better than that, and don't want to come over at all like a whiner. it's just he did something this year , that may never again be done. if you know coach lutz, he does not want all this attention. but us tiger fans want it for him. there were many amazing coaching jobs in the seoal this year,
jackson
logan
portsmouth
ironton
warren all were worthy.

I may have went with a three way in the coach of the year.

The Portsmouth coach went through some hard times after the Jackson loss (I think this was the game that the next day they were saying about six guys quit the team, Portsmouth really started playing some real good football after that and that took some coaching.

I dont agree with you YTB. Most of Irontons team have started since they were sophmores, and was exspected to make a run into the playoffs. Even dog and I have said that Ironton would make it to the state in the next three years.

The only other coach you could give it to would have been Clifford. Going from 1-9 to 7 and 3 was a big turn around.

I was going to stop posting on this thread but....

This is ridiculous, Are we to believe that a coach has to come off a losing season an have a mediocre or good season to be coach of the year????

So the great coaches (LUTZ) that coach their teams to good seasons year in and year out are shunned because they are good??? How sad!

Turning around a team would be much tougher. It's coach of the season, career marks shouldn't be taken into consideration.

It really depends on what criteria you use to decide the awards, do you use the regular season only or the results to this point.

Locos:

I think you did an excellent job. Your all-seoal team seems to be more rounded out than the other. Keep up the good work.
